The Mountain of Fantasy Metal
The fantasy metals sorted by Modalfas and the others truly formed a mountain.
No, really—how had it all piled up like this?
Actually, the bigger mystery was how anyone had managed to haul it all here in the first place.
"Whoa! So these are fantasy metals! But seeing them heaped up like a mountain of iron really messes with my sense of scale!"
"But the mana radiating from here is tremendous. We should examine it thoroughly."
Teysa and Hannon broke into a run toward the mountain of metals.
Well, no surprise there.
If any smith saw a sight like this, their spirits would soar.
"Lady Lily. Are you saying this *entire* mountain is fantasy metals?"
"That’s what it seems, Alizée. Since Modalfas and the others sorted it, I don’t think there’s any mistake."
"This is… far too much. Honestly, even a single sword’s worth of fantasy metal is rarely seen on the market. With this pile, you could outfit an entire knight order and still have leftovers. This cannot be spoken of publicly."
"Right? So, what do we do? Should we move it out of here?"
"Yes… at least half must be transported. Lady Lily, your estate does have a treasure vault, does it not, Modalfas?"
"Indeed. We had it prepared. The entire chamber has been covered with Lord Talat’s invisible threads, making it impossible to break in through the walls."
"Then let us store it there. Proper tools are required to work fantasy metals, but even so, the material itself must be secured."
Wait.
Fantasy metals requires special tools?
Do Teysa and Hannon even have those?
I should ask.
"Hm? Tools for working fantasy metals?"
"Yes. Do you have what you need, Teysa?"
"I’ve got tools that are said to be able to handle it. Haven’t actually tested them myself, so maybe it’s just hearsay."
"Isn’t that… risky?"
"Not at all. Even if the tools turn out useless, look at this mountain of metal—we’ll just use a little of it to forge proper tools ourselves. You’d allow that, right?"
"Well… if it’s only that much."
Considering the sheer size of this hoard, the bit needed to make hammers and files really was nothing more than a rounding error.
They apparently already had the gear to make such tools, so as long as the forge itself was functional, there shouldn’t be a problem.
I’d taken a peek earlier, but I couldn’t tell whether it was usable or not.
Only Teysa and the other pros could make that call.
I really hoped it was in working order.
What do you think about this chapter?
Bet if that useless prince know about this, he will beg his papa to force Lily to "contribute" to kingdom (and got his rear wooped) or worse he will demand it himself
No gift for the long time guardian dragon? Not offering anything brings shame upon MC, for failing basic courtesy, especially since she's now rich and considered equal with high ranking nobles.
Thanks for the mass release! Awesome translation! May God bless you!
So they will be busy over there forging the equipment.
Thanks for the batch release.
