Day 1 of Ogre Hunting: Night
After dinner, we decided on the order of the night watch and went to sleep until the next morning’s sunrise.

Everyone else wrapped themselves in thick blankets and went to sleep, but I slept inside the one-touch tent that the Goddess had given me.
This tent was so comfortable.
It doesn’t let in the wind or anything, and it’s really sturdy.
It’s never been damaged by sparks or anything, either.
I guess it’s made of the same mysterious material as my clothes.
… I woke up in the middle of the night.
It wasn’t just that I woke up, but I needed to go to the bathroom.

I can’t do it inside the tent, so I opened the tent and stepped outside.
Tomoa was on watch duty right now.
“What’s wrong, Lady Lily?”
“Uh, well, I need to use the toilet.”
“I see. Do you want me to accompany you?”
“I’m not a child. I can manage on my own.”

I parted ways with Tomoa and made my way into the bushes.
I hid in the shade of a tree a little way away and took care of my business.
Then, as I pulled up my pants, preparing to leave the shade of the tree, a rope suddenly wrapped around my mouth.

I knew it!
“Stay quiet. If you don’t resist, we won’t harm you.”
“Mmgh!”
“So don’t struggle. We’re not planning anything bad, I promise.”
The men quickly tied me up with ropes and attempted to leave the scene.
Alright, is this enough for an attempted kidnapping charge?
Okay, let’s do this!
“Huh? What’s going on? Whoa!?”
“What!? Spider threads!?”
“Is this her familiar!? Did the ones who went to distract it fail!?”
While the men panicked, the spider threads continued to entangle them, immobilizing them completely.
Just then, Tomoa, guided by Talat, arrived.
“Lady Lily!? Are you okay!?”
“I’m fine. Talat tied these guys up before they got to me.”
“But then, Talat could have acted before you were restrained, no?”
“I wanted to give these guys a taste of ‘attempted kidnapping’ first. Anyway, forget about me and wake everyone up. I’ll join you shortly.”

While Tomoa woke everyone up, I asked Talat to untie me.
Talat’s jaw is quite strong, so cutting through the ropes was a breeze.
Once I was free, Talat brought the would-be kidnappers over, and we joined the other four.
All four of them had already woken up and were well-equipped.
They’re experienced adventurers, no doubt.
“Lady Lily, I apologize…”
“It’s fine, really. It was almost like I intentionally let them catch me.”

“I could have had Talat take action before they got to me, so don’t worry. Let’s focus on getting ready to go. Make sure to bring these guys with us.”
“Understood. I’ll explain the situation to the remaining adventurers. Please organize your belongings.”

Setting up the one-touch tent was easy, but closing it took a bit of practice.
However, since I only had the tent and the silver mat inside, packing up was smooth.
By the time I finished packing, Keuko, who had gone to explain the situation, had returned.
Now, all that’s left was to head back.
