The Reputation of ‘Spiderling’s Nest’
Two weeks have passed since the opening of the restaurant, “Spiderling’s Nest.”
On the calendar, it was almost the next month, and the season was more fitting for winter.
Even in such chilly weather, there was a line forming at the Spiderling’s Nest.

Alizée and I were here to inspect the Spiderling’s Nest.
I only checked the situation on the opening day, and haven’t been here since.

I don’t have accurate data on the gender ratio of customers since I haven’t investigated that far, but it seems that the dishes with stewed vegetables tend to sell out faster than those with meat.
In particular, the daily one-pot dishes that come in iron pots custom-made by Hannon seemed to be popular.
Before the opening day, I only taught them oden, but on other days, they are apparently serving seasonal vegetables simmered with meat in broth.
The umami of the broth and the fat from the meat permeate the vegetables, making it delicious.
At the orphanage, they served vegetable dishes on most days, so they had to figure out how to make vegetables tasty.
The children ate vegetables without any fuss, enjoying the rich umami-packed vegetable dishes.
Vardmoi is not in a region cut off by snow even in winter, so they had no problems with procuring vegetables, but it would have been tough for them to survive if this was a region where vegetables were unavailable in winter.
Well, it’s good to see that the children are eating a lot of vegetables and staying healthy.
“So, Alizée, are you able to procure seafood?”
“Hmm, since it’s you asking, I think you know delicious ways to prepare it… but transporting it to Vardmoi without losing freshness would be quite challenging. Even by carriage, it takes about a week to reach the nearest town.”
“Meaning, with a magic vehicle, it would be faster?”
“Yes, that’s correct. The cost would increase, but it could be shortened to a minimum of two days. If we’re dealing with a large amount of fish regularly, we could further compress the costs.”

… So Alizée is also a regular at the Spiderling’s Nest.
