Conniette’s Visit
The armor for the three adventurers was completed in just three days.
Since I already had basic patterns ready, all I had to do was request the leather from the Trade Guild.
Pretty efficient, if I do say so myself.
The armor is ready, but since delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, I’ve stored it in the back for now.
I hope they’ll be happy with the results—I’m quite proud of this work.
While running my shop as usual, a splendid carriage stopped in front of the store.
Ugh, I have a bad feeling about this.
"I’ve come to visit, Lily!"
"This is a shop, Young lady Kou. Please don’t come here just to play around."
At first, the other customers didn’t realize who she was.
But as soon as I mentioned her name, they recognized Young lady Kou as a member of the Marquis Vardmoi’s family and bowed in respect.
However, Young lady Kou looked rather displeased with their formal gestures.
Young lady Kou, this isn’t the time to show that face—keep it under wraps!
"You may all relax. Today, I’ve come as a customer, so please enjoy shopping."
Yeah, right. Not many people have the nerve to "enjoy shopping" when the lord’s daughter says so.
In fact, the customers who were already inside quickly made their exits.
That’s the normal reaction.
Young lady Kou is the one who isn’t normal.
"Uh, am I disliked?"
"It’s not a matter of liking or disliking. When the lord’s daughter suddenly shows up and declares herself a customer, it’s bound to make people uncomfortable."
"Is that so?"
"That’s exactly how it is. Please come incognito next time."
"Okay!"
Does she really get it, or is she just saying that?
Anyway, what’s her reason for coming today? It’s probably not to order a dress.
"Oh, today I’ve brought Young lady Conniette with me."
"Young lady Conniette?"
"Yes. It’s been a while, Miss Lily."
"It’s been a while, Young lady Conniette."
Since standing around chatting wasn’t ideal, I decided to close the shop for the time being and take them to the reception room on the second floor.
Young lady Kou genuinely came just to escort her, but Young lady Conniette apparently had a proper reason for visiting.
She wanted to discuss importing the white-rank adventurer gear I make into the Galette County.
"When I inquired at the Adventurers’ Guild in Galette County, I heard that the white-rank adventurer gear sold in Vardmoi is affordable yet highly protective. I negotiated with the Adventurers’ Guild in Vardmoi and learned of your name, which is why I’ve come to discuss this matter directly with you."
Ah, that.
Come to think of it, the white-rank gear isn’t widely available outside the Vardmoi Marquisate.
Exporting it to other territories incurs high taxes, so it’s rarely taken elsewhere.
Besides, I can’t travel to other regions for repairs, so the gear often ends up as disposable.
The gear is made cheaply, so it’s prone to breaking.
After explaining this, Young lady Conniette said it didn’t matter and asked to purchase it anyway.
Now, I don’t mind selling it, but how should we transport it, and in what quantity?
"If you could load it onto the frozen magic vehicle returning after delivering Connies, that would be helpful. As for the quantity… would this amount suffice?"
Hmm, it’s quite a lot, but considering the gear might break, this amount makes sense.
It won’t be too much trouble for me to produce that many.
Normally, crafting requires cutting and stitching leather, but with magic tailoring, I can whip them up quickly.
If Young lady Conniette agrees with this amount, we can start with this batch for export.
What do you think about this chapter?
Another source of revenue. ??
Thanks for the treat.
