Armor Crafting
Once we finished ordering the weapons, we went down the mountain and turned to armor crafting this time.
The monster hides I’d ordered from the Trade Guild had mostly arrived.
I’d combine those with the hide and scales I received from the Dragon to make the armor.

"Now then, when it comes to actually making them, how should I go about it?"

For the under-armor, Talat’s silk was the obvious choice.
It had the best defense and was flexible as well.
Honestly, if we didn’t care about blunt impact, armor wouldn’t even be necessary.
But we had to think about appearances, and since it had low shock absorption, armor was still required.
For now, I’d test the properties one by one.

"Hmm, I see. Performance-wise, Lord Dragon’s hide is the best. Covering it with scales will block most attacks. Plus, it’ll look beautiful, so that’s not bad at all."

The first type of armor was decided: scale armor.
There was enough for four sets, so no problem there.
Lana would wear something else.

"The second set… armor for situations where armor can’t be worn. Let’s make this one… a suit."

I quickly sketched up four designs.
That wasn’t too difficult either.
The material would also be Talat’s silk, so there was no issue with supplies.

"The third set… would be formal wear for audiences. Since we’ll be dealing with nobles more often, proper attire will be necessary."

I’d make this one a bit more extravagant.
I had also secured an illustrated reference book with tailoring samples of noble clothing, so no problem there.
Still, making dresses, huh… somehow that didn’t feel quite right.
Maybe I should consult Alizée.

"Clothes for adventurers meeting nobles, you mean?"

"Yes. What sort would be best?"

"As long as the outfit isn’t dirty, many won’t care too much. That said… I don’t think dresses are necessary. Even those of the Dark Green Sprout group and other Gold-rank adventurers didn’t wear dresses or coats when meeting you, did they? Adventurers aren’t expected to prepare such clothes, even when meeting with Platinum-rank merchants, the highest-class merchants."

"I see. So there’s no need to go that far."

"For occasions where such attire is required, it is customary for the employer to provide it. That is the tradition."

So there was no need for me to worry that much.
In that case, I’d just make plenty of protective underclothes, underwear, scarves, gloves, and so on, for emergencies.
No one would complain about having those.
I had the materials, so all that was left was to get crafting.
