A Welcome in Galette
We arrived at the capital of Count Galette’s domain without encountering any major troubles.
Waiting for us in Galette were several Kiblinki Saltas that had arrived earlier in search of new fruits and vegetables.
So these little ones had already returned.
(Welcome, Contractor. And to our new kin as well.)
"Long time no see. Have you been doing well?"
(We have had no particular issues. We have also discovered what appears to be some new fruits.)
Oh?
But I haven’t heard anything about that yet.
When I asked for details, they explained that what they found was really only "something that seemed like a fruit"—but by the time they came across it, it had already ripened completely and fallen to the ground in decay.
Still, the fact that they had managed to identify a new fruit meant that next year, they would likely be able to harvest it.
These spiders are truly reliable.
(That’s all we have to report. The others are still out searching for more new vegetables and fruits.)
"I see. You’re all working hard, as always."
(Of course. It’s part of our reward, after all.)
Oh, right.
The Kiblinki Saltas have some priority rights over new crops, don’t they?
But what kind of vegetables grow in tropical regions, I wonder?
"More importantly, shouldn’t you be going to meet Conniette? That’s the main purpose of your visit, isn’t it?"
"Oh, you’re right. Can you lead the way?"
(Of course. That is precisely why we are here as messengers.)
Wow, they’ve really risen in status.
Still, as we walked through the city, no one seemed particularly bothered even with a Kiblinki Saltas leading the way.
People were surprised, of course, when they saw a whole group of Kiblinki Saltas trailing behind us—but they only seemed surprised and nothing more.
Honestly, these little ones have blended into the city quite well.
(We’ve arrived. Gatekeeper, we have brought the Marquis Vardmoi, the Contractor, and the new kin.)
"Marquis Vardmoi, Lady Lily, and the new Kiblinki Saltas… Even for Kiblinki Saltas that I’ve seen before, this many of them together is quite the sight."
(There are supposedly several times this number in Vardemoi.)
"That’s practically a city of spiders at this point…"
(We do not seek conflict with humans of our own accord. Now, will you let us through?)
"Ah, my apologies. I’ll open the gate now."
Even the gatekeeper seemed overwhelmed by their numbers.
I wonder how Conniette will react.
She’ll probably just be a little surprised, and that’ll be it.
What do you think about this chapter?
Spooder army with peaceful intentions (towards humans and other animals, veggies will "suffer" their appetite).
Thanks for the chapter! Awesome translation! May God bless you!
At least they don't have Arachnophobia. ?
Thanks for the treat.
