Plans in Catastie
Once everyone finished lunch, it was time to confirm what we were going to do in Catastie.
Well… not that we’d actually decided on anything before coming here.
“That was an amazingly delicious lunch.”
“It truly was. It’s a feast we could never eat on our own.”
“You two, don’t let your guard down. Well, to be fair, this trip has a strong meaning of training for you as well.”
It looked like Ula and Shelche enjoyed it too.
Plum was cautioning them, though she didn’t seem particularly serious about it.
We’d finished eating, so it was time to decide what to do next.
Even though we had nothing in particular planned.
“So then, Lily. What will we do?”
“Well… tomorrow afternoon we’ll visit the Trade Guild, but other than that we really don’t have any plans. Is there anywhere you’d like to go?”
“No, it doesn’t matter much where we want to go…”
“But I don’t have anywhere I want to go either.”
If I had to say anything, it would only be that I’d like to visit the granny who taught me magic embroidery long ago.
Aside from that, we really had nothing planned.
What should we do?
“In that case, I shall go to the Darshe Embassy. I’ll have them come greet you.”
“I can go myself, you know?”
“A Platinum-rank merchant shouldn’t be the one to go. In the same sense, even the Trade Guildmaster ought to be the one to come to you… though…”
“Lady Plum. I’m sure they know that perfectly well. And yet they summoned her anyway. There must be something they can only discuss at the Trade Guild.”
“That seems likely. I cannot imagine the head of the Trade Guild misunderstanding his own position.”
Hmm…
I really am important, aren’t I?
My position is too strong.
So then, what should I do?
“Would grabbing snacks from food stalls be dangerous too?”
“Well, best avoid it if you can. They likely can’t poison you, but food poisoning would be worrying.”
“In theory, I should be able to nullify that with enchantments though.”
“It can’t be helped. Regardless of what you or we can handle, if those around us get caught up in it, that’d be trouble.”
So it seemed we would be eating meals primarily here at the inn.
If we asked, they could probably prepare almost anything for us.
I wanted to try that curry-like dish I had long ago, so maybe I’d request it later.
“Lady Lily, we’ll go ask around to see if any events are happening.”
“Yes. That noble who was in a hurry earlier bothers me.”
“Normally, no one rushes like that.”
So we decided to have everyone from Dark Green Sprout go investigate.
When they came back right before dinner, they reported that a grand market was being held at this time of year.
“It seems goods from across the sea and all sorts of items gather here. It’s apparently a very large market.”
“And it looks like a large-scale auction will be held too. The noble was probably headed there.”
An auction, huh…
Should I participate too?
But that doesn’t seem like something that contributes to stimulating the economy.
For now, I’ll just keep it in mind and decide later whether to join.
What do you think about this chapter?
An auction, huh, I wonder if anything interesting (or anyone) would show up.
Thanks for the chapter! Awesome translation! May God bless you!
Thanks for the treat.
