The Connie Trees Have Been Stolen!
After finalizing the contract with the Trade Guild, Young lady Conniette hurriedly departed, taking a bird courier to return home.
The rapid freezer I arranged has already been delivered to Galette County, and the refrigerated transport vehicles are set to arrive soon.
Young lady Conniette plans to ensure there are no issues with the first shipment.
I, too, am looking forward to the arrival of the Connies.

That said, my usual workload is no small task.
I have to produce vests and undergarments for the Trade Guild employees.
The same items are also in demand from the Adventurers' Guild.

Once again, Melanie discovered that I had preemptively started selling practical clothing to the Trade Guild.
Apparently, the summer heat is also a significant enemy for the Adventurers' Guild. Furthermore, their receptionists are required to wear thick leather waist wraps during working hours as a precaution against unruly adventurers.
Unfortunately, these wraps are prone to trapping heat and causing discomfort.
Naturally, they’ve asked for a solution to this issue as well.

To address the problem, I created undershirts enchanted with "quick-dry" properties.
Unsurprisingly, they were an instant hit.
Interestingly, the Trade Guild found a demand for these items too.
Alizée, upon catching wind of this development, came to strongly urge me to sell them more of these garments.
Additionally, she requested that I consider producing socks using the same quick-dry enchantment.

Ah, that makes sense.
Wearing leather shoes continuously in summer must indeed lead to discomfort.
I didn’t say it aloud, but I suspect it might even cause athlete’s foot.
Since socks can be made from simple hemp material and only require enchanting, I decided to enlist Amira to help with crafting them.
This will be a good opportunity to further her growth!
Socks are relatively simple to design—just determining the size roughly and drawing a pattern—so I believe Amira can handle it.

Amid this bustling yet peaceful routine, about two weeks passed.
Then, I received an urgent summons from Marquis Vardmoi.
There was no explanation—just an immediate order to come.
When I arrived at the Marquis’s residence, to my surprise, Young lady Conniette was also present.
What on earth is going on?

“You’re here. First, sit down.”

“Yes. May I ask why Young lady Conniette is here?”

“Don’t rush. It’s related to the reason I called you today.”

Although I had no clue what was happening, I obediently took a seat on the sofa.
Sitting across from me, Young lady Conniette’s complexion was visibly poor.
Wait, could it be…?

“… Could it be that the Connie trees have been stolen?”

“… I deeply apologize.”

“… That’s correct.”

Somehow, instead of anger, I felt an overwhelming sense of disbelief.
Does Young lady Conniette’s older brother realize that he’s essentially picking a fight with the Marquis Vardmoi?
Or is he so clueless that he doesn’t even understand the implications?

Well, then.
Let’s carefully discuss how we proceed from here.

Some acts might be against the law, unless a specific set of circumstances. Like killing, you can't go around killing anyone, but if someone breaks into your house it's time to reduce and reuse (some countries might not allow this, and they are bad countries). In this story, the "set of circumstances" has been reached, action is now on the table and even required.
Thanks for the chapter! Awesome translation! May God bless you!
