Kouro’s Intentions
There’s probably no point in asking Kiri anything more.
Instead, I decided to speak to Mr. Kouro, who was sitting beside her leisurely sipping tea.

“Mr. Kouro, did you know that education isn’t Kiri’s area of responsibility?”

“Well, I had my suspicions. But I assumed she was delegated by the Eight Seats member in charge of education. Besides, I was hoping for a different kind of education myself.”

“Different kind of education?”

“Agricultural instruction. That should be your familiars’ specialty, no?”

Well, the Kiblinki Saltas crew could probably handle that to some extent.
Given it's a nation of isles, the climate would be completely different, but with a few years of observation, they could figure out the characteristics.
That said, I can’t just lend them out without anything in return, and I’d also need permission from His Majesty.
I wonder how Mr. Kouro plans to deal with that?

“We’d have to request permission from His Majesty and Marquis Vardmoi. Depending on the situation, we may also consider offering a tribute of the nation’s specialty products. As for you, Lily, how about we offer you ingredients that can only be found on the Isles of the Eight Gods?”

I see, unique ingredients, huh?
I wouldn’t mind that at all.
Since this involves shipping food across the sea, we’d need to ensure thorough quarantine procedures, but we’ve established a solid system for that over the past three years.
We needed it to import food from the Darshe Principality, after all.
If we adapt that system, quarantine shouldn’t be an issue.
Next is the tribute for His Majesty.
I’m not sure if I should be the one to ask about that, so I’ll have Mr. Kouro discuss it with Priscilla later.
And as for the food I’d be receiving—what exactly would it be?

“Well, if you can arrange for frozen transport, we could prepare fruits that can only be harvested in certain parts of the Isles. We’ve confirmed they’ll stay edible for up to half a year with frozen preservation.”

Starting with fruit, then.
According to Mr. Kouro, these fruits aren’t seen in this country, so I’ll look forward to them.
A few other crops were also suggested.
It seems the islesare rich in fruits, and even their vegetables are said to have a strong natural sweetness.
That’s definitely promising.

Of course, to obtain any of this, I’ll need to send out the Kiblinki Saltas.
Mr. Kouro and Kiri say they’re willing to accept a trade for the Principality’s crops, but if possible, I’d rather get a decent quantity.
In that case, it would be better to dispatch the Kiblinki Saltas and have them start with soil improvement.
I hope they can find a way to sweet-talk His Majesty into agreeing.
