A Reunion with the Three Girls
While dealing with the Connie incident, early summer passed, and the peak of summer arrived.
In short, it’s unbearably hot.
Using a parasol feels a bit too ladylike, but walking without one is quite tough.
What am I supposed to do?
My clothes are enchanted to resist heat, but there’s nothing I can do about my head feeling hot.
Oh, I’ve made sure to teach Amira to wear a proper hat, though.

In this sweltering heat, heat-resistant vests were flying off the shelves.
They’re selling so much that I can’t help but wonder if people are washing them at all.
I hope they’re taking care of them—enchantments can hold up through a few washes, after all.

As I was in the workshop making heat-resistant goods, someone from the shop came to tell me I had visitors.
It’s rare to have guests at the shop.
Curious, I went to see, and there they were: Elsa, a fellow tamer and my juniors; Ulla, a blunt weapon user; and Shellche, a magician.
Come to think of it, it’s been a while since these three have dropped by.
I wonder how they’ve been.

“Long time no see, Senior Lily!”

“Thanks for having us.”

“Thank you for allowing us to visit. As always, the variety here is astounding.”

“Well, that’s one of the good things about this shop. So, what brings the three of you here?”

“Well, we’ve been on a guard mission since spring, and our equipment has really worn out. We’ve saved up some money, so we thought it would be a good opportunity to replace it.”

I see, so they haven’t been in town.
No wonder I hadn’t seen them.
But just how worn out is their equipment?

When I had a look, it was indeed in rough shape.
The gear was covered in countless scratches, and the metal fittings were quite damaged.
Replacing the equipment rather than repairing it seemed like the right choice.

“By the way, do you three have any specific gear in mind?”

“I want a leather breastplate, gauntlets, greaves, thigh guards, and boots. But…”

“But?”

“Ulla is insisting on metal armor.”

Metal armor, huh?
That’s quite a heavy-duty choice.
When I asked why, all she could say was, “It just seems stronger!” Metal armor isn’t exactly easy to wear, though.
Oh well, I guess I’ll help them out a bit.

“Plum, let’s head out for a while.”

“Understood. But is there really a reason to go out of your way for these girls?”

“I just can’t leave them be. Regardless of their age, they are like little sisters to me.”

“You never change... Well, fine. Are we heading to Gleam of Molten Iron?”

“Yes. That works for everyone, right?”

“Yes!”

And so, unexpectedly, we decided to head out to the Gleam of Molten Iron.
I wonder if Teysa and Hanon will be there?
