Post-Grand Death Worm
After defeating the Grand Death Worm, we began dismantling the mouth section with the help of the adventurers who arrived late.
However, the inside of the Grand Death Worm's body was lined with saw-like blades, arranged in a spiral to grind up whatever it swallowed, and we were unable to rescue the people who had been swallowed earlier.
Even though we knew it was hopeless once someone was eaten by the monster, seeing how brutal its internal structure was really drove the point home.
You really can’t underestimate monsters.

At the very least, we offered a small prayer for them and began preparing to transport the slain Plain Earth Dragons back.
But, of course, we still had the problem of what to do with the defeated Grand Death Worm...

"Hmm, the skin can be used for armor materials, and the meat is edible, I suppose?"

"I'm not sure how it is in this country, but back in my homeland, the Darsche Principality, Grand Death Worms would occasionally appear. If you freeze it for about a week, then thaw it and drain the water, the materials can be processed. Leaving it here unattended could be problematic, so why not bring it back?"

While Roland, Melanie, and the other adventurers from the guild were discussing whether to bury or incinerate the Grand Death Worm, Plum suggested a way to utilize it.
Apparently, the raw form contains toxins, not to mention a significant amount of parasites, but if it's frozen for a while, thawed, and drained of moisture, the toxins are removed.
Tanning the hide requires a special technique, but Plum said they could bring in technicians from the Darsche Principality to handle that.
In other words, the Grand Death Worm’s materials might cover some of the losses from this mission for the Adventurers' Guild.
The only issue was how to transport such a massive body.

"As for transporting it? I’ll slice it into sections, and you can carry them. After all, it needs to be cut into smaller pieces to remove the moisture and skin it anyway. Besides, Talat and I froze it thoroughly, so it won’t thaw for a few days. You can assign a guard and take your time transporting it to the town over several days."

In short, we’d have to make multiple trips.
Since Melanie also asked us to help with the Grand Death Worm’s transport, I decided, after discussing it with everyone, to take on the task.
It’s not like I personally need to do the driving.
As I’m the one who needs protection, I decided to stay in town with Plum while the rest of the Wildcat's Claws handles the transportation.
Nobody seemed to have any objections, so everything’s fine.
But still, the Grand Death Worm is this long and that big...
How many days will it take to complete the transport?
