Red-Ranked Adventurers from Galette County
The day after my discussion with Young lady Conniette, she returned to Galette County.
A few days later, I received word from the Adventurers’ Guild that a party of red-ranked adventurers from Galette County had arrived.
Since I had already agreed to the request, I couldn’t refuse, so I had no choice but to go meet them.
Leaving the shop in the hands of my staff, I headed to the Adventurers’ Guild.
Waiting for me in the guild’s meeting room were nine adventurers, both men and women.
“You’re Lily?”
“Yes. Are you the red-ranked adventurer party from Galette County that Young lady Conniette mentioned?”
“That’s right. I’m Clad, leader of the party called ‘Javelin of the Sunlight.’ That group over there is called ‘White Wave.’”
“Nice to meet you, Miss Lily. I’m Meiren, leader of ‘White Wave.’”
Clad had the muscular physique of a high-ranking adventurer, while Meiren was lean and slender.
Both wore smiles, but their gazes suggested they were evaluating me.
I couldn’t afford to back down.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Lily, a Magic Tailor.”
“A Magic Tailor, huh? Are we sure a young girl like you is up to the task?”
“It’s a recommendation from Young lady Conniette, so I’d like to think it’s fine, but still...”
“Well, well. For now, let me show you some sample products I’ve made.”
I placed a set of leather armor on the table—a prototype I made when I first began crafting leather armor for red-ranked adventurers.
To be honest, it was one of my early works.
“This is... quite the craftsmanship.”
“The leather’s durability and flexibility are excellent. What kind of leather is this?”
“If I remember correctly... it’s from a Land Whale. I made it nearly a year ago as a sample.”
“And you achieved this quality a year ago. Have you had much experience since then?”
“Not much, honestly. My shop primarily sells slightly upscale clothing for commoners, and the adventurer gear is just a small section. Red-ranked adventurer equipment is custom-made, so it’s not something that sells often.”
Yeah, it hasn’t sold much.
It does reasonably well with female adventurer parties, but my long absences from the shop since winter have meant it hasn’t significantly contributed to sales.
Still, it’s not a burden, so I don’t mind.
“Hmm. Any notable adventurers who’ve used your equipment?”
“I’m not sure about fame, but the group Crimson Oath has likely used it the most extensively.”
“Crimson Oath? You’ve made equipment for Crimson Oath?!”
“Yes, around last autumn.”
Why the sudden intensity?
Were those ladies such a famous party?
“When they visited Galette County, I saw their equipment. It was truly exceptional. Despite heavy use, it showed no signs of wear.”
“Now that you mention it, the maker’s name I heard back then was ‘Lily.’”
“... I see. That connects everything.”
So they were that famous.
I wonder where those ladies are traveling now.
I hope they’re safe.
“Alright, we’ll place an order for armor. How long will it take?”
“Well, after measuring everyone’s sizes, creating patterns, and acquiring materials... about two weeks.”
“Hmm. So for the entire group, that’ll take a few months?”
“Oh, no. It’ll take about two weeks for everyone.”
The adventurers froze at my words.
Did I say something strange?
“Wait! You’re saying you can make armor for all of us in just two weeks?”
“Well, most of the time is spent making the patterns. Once those are ready, it’s just a matter of crafting the actual pieces from leather.”
“Wow, Magic Tailor is really fast.”
“Maybe it’s just me being unusually quick.”
I’ve never met another Magic Tailor before.
While Amira has started learning Magic Tailor, she isn’t skilled enough to be called a Magic Tailor yet.
I wonder how fast a typical Magic Tailor works.
I’d like to meet one someday.
