Eminira Dungeon Again (8)
While we were on the move, Allie, who had been listening to my and Hamilton’s analysis, said:
“If all we need to do is keep the golems from moving for a while, then I think freezing them with ice magic would work.”

“If it’s just to stop them from moving, maybe we could surround them with defensive magic." suggested Linka.

“No, Linka. You should save her strength. Unless it’s a major battle like now, you need to conserve your mana for defensive spells on this floor. We can’t afford to waste energy in the desert." Allie objected.

It was decided that Linka would only participate toward the end when the number of Dullahans increased.

“Hardt, is there any method using wind or fire?” asked Brother Gerald.

Since he’s also capable with a sword, I asked if he wanted to help fight the Dullahans, but he said the Golden Wings can handle that for now and that he wants to level up his magic.
I suggested using wind magic to surround the golems and stop them from moving.
I explained that if golems regenerate quickly after being defeated, then it’s faster to just keep them immobile and isolate the Dullahans.

“We’re fine with that, but wouldn’t it be better for you and Canal to defeat the golems since it would help level up their magic and rank?”

Ah, that’s right. The more golems you defeat, the more you level up, and in the dungeon, all defeated enemies are automatically counted. If we don’t actively defeat them, our rank-ups will be slower.

When I asked Canal, Atre, and Ripka, they all said they wanted to defeat golems to level up.
So we decided that each of them would take on one golem that was far from the Dullahans.

As we steadily progressed with the subjugation, the number of Dullahans and golems increased, so Linka and I used defensive magic, and Atre used ice magic to stop the golems.
Meyer and Kamuela, Wilson and Hamilton paired up to alternate between fighting Dullahans and protecting me, while also helping to immobilize the golems.

Linka’s defensive magic was amazing—she trapped nearly a hundred golems within her defensive wall.
I could only handle about fifteen or sixteen at best. I still can’t manage wide-range spells.
Atre, Allie, and Kamuela kept freezing or sealing the lower halves of the golems with ice and earth magic, slowing them down.
Canal, Ripka, and Meyer continued defeating the golems that couldn’t be immobilized.
Meanwhile, the other members focused on defeating the Dullahans.

I thought Allie would join the Dullahan subjugation, but she said she focused on immobilizing golems since the men were using swords to fight the Dullahans.
It’s true that if even one person uses magic to defeat a Dullahan, it increases the burden on those fighting with swords.
Everyone is fighting one-on-one, but aren’t the Dullahans pretty strong?
Still, everyone looks like they’re having fun fighting.

“Well, of course. We’ve never been able to fight Dullahans head-on with swords without worrying about the golems before. They’re strong, so those confident in their skills are happy to take them on." said Meyer.

“You feel the same way?”

“Of course. I’ll join in next time." He replied with a smile.

“Young master Reinhardt, thank you for allowing us to focus solely on the Dullahans and fight them with swords." Said Mr. Salem gratefully.

“I just thought it would be better to reduce the golems... no need to thank me... But everyone really looked like they were enjoying themselves.”

“Yes, because Dullahans are strong. We’ve always wanted to fight them one-on-one, but it wasn’t possible before. Plus, this heat drains our stamina, and the sand slows us down. That’s why most people avoid this floor after clearing it once.”

The loot from each Dullahan was five stainless steel ingots.
There were no drops from the golems.

“Does the low drop rate despite the difficulty have something to do with it?”

“No, the buyback price for stainless steel isn’t bad. It’s just that doing volume runs on the tenth floor is easier than walking endlessly in the heat and sand.”

Unless we defeat the Dullahans, the golems will keep regenerating endlessly on this floor.
The tenth floor is also endless unless you hit the target number, but if you’re comparing ease, then the tenth floor wins.
Even if the loot is small, the quantity makes up for it, so the earnings might end up the same.
