Adventurer Group
"Reinhardt!" Canal waved from a distance.
Huh? There are a lot of people here.

"Magic Division Commander Archland, who are these people?"

Huh? Did they come here without knowing he was the Magic Division Commander?

"Young master Reinhardt, these people are members of a B-rank adventurer group called Golden Wings. They went to check the cave after the Knights Order orc subjugation in Shinana Village and defeated 43 goblins. They have expressed a strong desire to meet you, and the lord has granted permission.” Magic Division Commander Archland introduced them.

"He is the lord's son."

"Golden Wings is amazing! On the way to Shinana Village, they defeated over 30 bandits, and in the forest, they took down goblins and Goblin Soldiers. I even defeated one Goblin Soldier myself! I used the technique you taught me—covering its face with a ball of water to make it suffocate."

"That's amazing! I'm glad you managed to defeat one too, Canal. And as expected of B-rank adventurers. So goblins had settled in the cave in Shinana Village? It's good that you checked it out. The villagers must be relieved. But why would such amazing people want to meet me?"

"My apologies for requesting to meet you without knowing you were the lord’s son." explained Salem, the leader of Golden Wings.

Canal had told them about the new water magic strategy he used to help defeat the bandits and goblins, and upon learning that it was all my idea, they wanted to meet and speak with me. That’s why they were here now.

"Even though I'm the lord's son, I'm just the third son. I'm only eight years old, so you don't have to be so formal. So, what did you want to ask?"

Will, a young man who could use water magic but had little mana, said he was impressed by the hot water and boiling water magic.
Allie, a woman who specialized in ice magic, asked with sparkling eyes if he could teach her effective combat techniques using ice magic.

Reinhardt glanced at the Magic Division Commander.

"Just share your thoughts as you always do. I’d like to hear them as well."

If one has little mana, they should figure out the maximum range and strength of their spells and use them accordingly in combat. Knowing the range allows for attacks from behind or the sides, and even at close range, one could slow down the enemy's movements.

For ice magic, I suggested shooting ice needles like arrows or dousing the enemy in icy water to hinder their movements.

"Icy water?"

"Ice melts into water, right? So, it should be possible. If there’s someone who can use wind magic, you could work together with them—continuously dousing the enemy in icy water while blasting them with cold air to freeze them solid. Or better yet, if you could freeze them on your own, that would be ideal."

"As always, your ideas are impressive. Our Magic Division should try these techniques too." said the commander.

I didn't think it was anything special, but if these strategies could expand their combat options, that was a good thing.

After the discussion, the members of Golden Wings joined in on magic practice.

"What kind of thought process does Young master Reinhardt have? These tactics are fine for fighting monsters, but when used against bandits, they're pretty brutal. I’d never want to be on the receiving end—same with the boiling water technique." Allie commented.

"Rather than just firing off magic randomly, he thinks about how to use its properties effectively in battle. I’ve never considered that before." Will added.

"Even though we didn't know at first, getting to hear the Magic Division Commander’s guidance and Young master Reinhardt's strategies was a great opportunity. This kind of chance doesn't come often.” Said Gregory.

"Still, Canal being the Magic Division Commander's nephew—he turned out to be an incredible kid." Remarked Rinka.

"I think he's heavily influenced by Young master Reinhardt. It’ll be interesting to see how he grows from here. The monthly escort to Shinana Village just got a lot more exciting." Salem added.

The others agreed, laughing as they looked forward to the stories they'd hear on the journey to Shinana Village.
