Enjoying a Relaxed Life in Another World
Description: Reinhardt is the third son of a Margrave family. A few months ago, after suffering from a high fever, he recalled that he was a Japanese person in his previous life, working for a black company as an adult. He doesn't remember how he died. However, he is determined not to live the same dreamless, hopeless days of working endlessly as in his previous life.
He swore to protect his fun life in this magical world, surrounded by fluffiness, at all costs.
With the help of his family, he leaves troublesome matters to capable others. However, he can't refuse when someone relies on him.
This story is a laid-back fantasy life filled with convenience, without "comeuppance" or "rising to power," where the protagonist acts freely as he pleases.

My Situation After Reincarnation
"Young master Hardt, it's morning. Please wake up." The chamberlain, Georges, pulled off my blanket.
"How cruel of you to take my blanket on a cold winter morning."
"What are you talking about? Who is it that doesn't wake up even when I gently call them? Stop saying the same thing every day and get up already."
Reluctantly, I got up and started getting dressed.
My name is Reinhardt Westwood, age seven. I am the third son of the Margrave of the West.
Six months ago, I came down with a severe fever due to a flu epidemic and teetered between life and death for three days. During that time, I remembered my past as a Japanese person.
I couldn't recall my Japanese name or family, but I remembered fragments, such as working for a black company and dying of overwork.
The country I now live in is the Kingdom of Aranfes, the third-largest country on the continent. It has two Ducal families, three Marquess families, and four Margrave families in the east, west, south, and north, all of which hold significant power, comparable to that of the Marquess families.
Our family, the Margraves of the West, is responsible for subduing magic beasts in a vast Sea of Trees that stretches about halfway to the neighboring country and managing mineral resources dropped in the nation's largest dungeon.
The deeper you go into the Sea of Trees, the stronger the magic beasts become. Materials such as fur, fangs, bones (used for weapons), meat, and organs (some of which are ingredients for potions and medicines), as well as magic stones (the power source for magic tools), are indispensable for people's lives.
Additionally, the manufacturing of weapons, smithing, and the processing of precious metals using mining resources are thriving industries.
As for the other Margrave families:
The Northern Nostrad family borders the largest nation on the continent, making trade with the great power (a commercial city), livestock farming, and sericulture (famous for silk fabrics) flourish.
The Eastern Eastspring family has two dungeons and is known for producing medicinal herbs, being strong in potions and pharmaceuticals. The mountainous region is also famous for its fruit cultivation, fruit wines, and regular wines.
The Southern Southcourt family is the only one in the country with a coastline. It is active in suppressing pirates, maritime trade, fishing, cotton cultivation, and cotton textiles.
Each Margrave family has its own unique characteristics. When the balance of power among the four Margraves is maintained, the nation is said to be stable and peaceful.
As I sat absentmindedly in front of the mirror, Georges dressed me up. When I entered the dining hall, my entire family was already there.
After greeting my family and taking my seat, plates of fluffy omelets, minestrone soup, fresh vegetable salads, and a variety of bread assortments were brought out.
"Since we're all here, let's start breakfast.”
Said my Father, Alfred, marking the start of the meal.
Father, the head of our family tasked with magic beast and dungeon subjugation, has a sturdy build—not overly muscular but strong-looking. He has black hair, green eyes, and is an attractive man in his late thirties. He wields ice and wind magic.
In this otherworld, there are seven types of magic: fire, water, wind, earth, ice, lightning, and healing.
When you turn eight, a ceremony at the church determines your magic attribute, and you can definitely use at least one type. Nobles generally have more mana than commoners, so most can use two or more.
My Mother’s name is Violetta, whom my Father affectionately calls Vivi. She married into the family from the Northern Nostrad family. She has blonde hair, violet eyes, and is a beauty in her mid-thirties who looks no older than her twenties.
Coming from the business-savvy Nostrad family, she assists my Father in managing the sale of monster materials, dungeon minerals, weapons, and precious metals (she practically manages everything). She is very capable and wields water and healing magic.
Father prefers physical activities like subjugating monsters over desk work. When Mother was working in the Westwood territory as part of her family's business, Father fell for her hardworking image and relentlessly pursued her. Mother, not disliking the idea of fully utilizing her talents in Westwood or the handsome Father, agreed to marry him.
As a result, our family gets along very well.
"Chris, how are the preparations for entering the academy coming along?"
"I’ve already sent the necessary items to the mansion in the royal capital. If anything else is needed, I plan to get it there, so I’m going to head to the capital a bit early to prepare."
My eldest brother, Chrisford, is fifteen this year and will be moving to the royal capital mansion in ten days to enroll in the academy starting this spring.
The academy runs for three years, from ages fifteen to eighteen. Students study common subjects like languages, along with specialized fields such as territory management, knight training, bureaucracy, magic, pharmacology, or alchemy.
The basics are taught at home, and those who pass the entrance exam can enter the academy. Failure results in automatic demotion to commoner status upon adulthood, regardless of being a legitimate heir. Producing a failing child is a disgrace to the family, so education is a top priority.
Traveling to the royal capital is done by train. What would take ten days by carriage from our home can be reached in one day by train. The royal capital is the central hub, with railroads extending to the territories of the eastern, western, southern, and northern Margraves, making long-distance travel primarily train-based.
Chris, with his blond hair and green eyes, resembles Father. He’s an all-rounder in academics and physical skills, kind to his younger siblings, and the epitome of a prince-like figure. He wields ice and wind magic.
"I still have two years to go... I can’t wait to join the knight training department at the academy.” Said my second brother, Gerald.
He has black hair and violet eyes, resembling Mother. He’s a handsome man whose personality is similar to Father’s. His striking contrast between his appearance and personality surprises everyone upon first meeting, but his friendly nature quickly makes him the center of attention. He wields fire and wind magic.
As for me, the third son, I have silver hair and violet eyes, resembling Mother. My silver hair comes from my grandfather, who is skilled in magic and, despite having passed the title to my Father, still actively hunts magic beasts and explores dungeons.
Silver hair is said to indicate a high amount of mana. While I won’t know until the mana assessment at age eight, I have high expectations for myself.
Living in a world of magic, I want to use it as much as I can.
However, to avoid repeating my past life, I aim to work moderately, enjoy my interests, and savor this world. That’s crucial!
My daily schedule includes etiquette, history, and arithmetic lessons in the morning, followed by physical training in the afternoon. After that, I have free time until dinner.
After the mana assessment at eight, swordsmanship and practical magic training will be added, making my schedule busier.
Although the area is peaceful and relatively safe, playing outside like in Japan isn’t an option due to the risks of kidnapping or magic beasts emerging from the forest.
Indoor leisure activities are limited to reading or chess, so I grabbed a half-finished adventure novel and headed to the garden greenhouse.
The greenhouse, filled with various flowers, has a sofa and table I brought in. Being surrounded by plants creates a different atmosphere from my room, making it a cozy spot.
As I lounged on the sofa, reclining with my legs stretched out while reading, I heard Gerald’s voice.
"So, you were here after all. Hardt, you really love this greenhouse."
Turning around, I saw Chris was with him.
"What brings both of you here?"
"Well, since I’ll be heading to the royal capital in ten days, how about the three of us go to the Sea of Trees before then? Father has already given his approval. Once I start attending the academy, I’ll only be back here during the summer."
"Although we are going to the Sea of Trees, it’s only the outskirts. Of course, we’ll have guards. The condition is that you don’t act on your own, Hardt."
"Really? Can I come too? I promise to listen to everything you say. Thank you, Brother Chris and Brother Gerald!"
Jumping up from the sofa, I hugged the two of them.
Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to the Sea of Trees for the first time.
