Let's Go for a Mana Evaluation
I turned eight years old.
Today, I’m going to the church for my mana evaluation.
I wonder what attribute I have.
Feeling excited, I headed to the church with my family.
Brother Gerald was accompanying us on horseback to help Ripka practice flying.
Mana evaluations are set to take place at a nearby church on the first of the month following one’s eighth birthday.
However, since they’re held on the first of every month, you can get evaluated at any time, not just the following month.
Additionally, children from poor families receive lunch and sweets, and those with high mana can receive free advanced magic education if they wish.
Because of this, attendance is high.
I arrived at the largest church in the capital.
Inside, the church featured the Creator God at the center, the God of Harvest to the left, and various other deities such as the Plant God, the God of Smithing, the Sage God, the God of Medicine, and the Sky God along the walls.
The walls were plain, with no reliefs or decorations.
It seems that seventeen of us, including me, will be evaluated today, and the church explained the procedure.
First, we wash our hands with holy water in the church garden, then offer prayers to the Creator God and the God of Harvest.
After that, we place our hands on the crystal ball next to the Creator God.
The ball changes color according to our attribute, and the deeper the color, the stronger our mana.
If letters appear on the crystal ball, it means we have received a divine blessing.
I seem to be the last one in line.
All of us undergoing the evaluation washed our hands with the holy water in the garden and offered prayers to the Creator God and the God of Harvest.
After that, we returned to the seats where our families were waiting, and when our names were called, we went up and touched the crystal ball.
The crystal ball changed to different colors depending on the person—red, light blue, brown... just as I was thinking how fascinating that was—

A cheer erupted from the priests.
It seems someone has two attributes.
“Father, what attributes did that child have?”
“Ah, water and earth magic.”
With those two attributes in the frontier, they’ll have a stable life for sure.
“I wanted to be a knight, so why do I have water and earth!?” The boy with dual attributes shouted.
What is he even complaining about when he has two attributes?
Brother Gerald scoffed, “What is this two-attribute kid misunderstanding? Water and earth are the strongest in the frontier.”
I completely agree.
Earth magic alone is useful for both offense and defense, and it can even revitalize the land.
The noisy boy was dragged away by his parents.
Finally, it was my turn.
With my heart pounding, I placed my hand on the crystal ball.
Colors swirled within it, gradually settling into two dominant hues.
“””Ohhh!”””
The priests let out another cheer.
The colors were deep blue and white—water and healing magic.
Then, letters began to appear on the crystal ball.

“What… he has two blessings!” A priest exclaimed loudly.
“Library? What does that even mean?” I had no clue.
Brother Gerald frowned. “‘Sage God: Library’? I’ve never heard of that one before.”
After returning home from the church, our family gathered in the living room.
“Two blessings…? I’ve never heard of such a thing before.” Father muttered, rubbing his temples.
“Healing magic is an advanced power. This means the church might get involved.” Mother said.
That sounded like an absolute headache.
I really don’t want anything to disturb my slow and easy life!
“Well, no use worrying about it now. Reinhardt, congratulations on having two attributes and two blessings.”
“We should’ve been the first to say that. Congratulations.”
“If you can use healing magic, it’ll be easier to venture into the forest. Hurry up and master it. Congratulations.”
“Thank you, everyone. I’ll master healing magic soon, so leave the Knights Order support to me. As for the Sage God’s blessing, I don’t understand it yet, but I’ll let you know once I figure it out.”
“I’ll look into it too. The magic division in the royal capital or the church might have some information.”
