Special missions? We've got it all covered with User Reviews and Free Pins!
Adventurer jobs can be broadly categorized into three types.
The first is commissioned requests.
These are requests posted on the bulletin board—basically a wooden board where requests are pinned.
It's the most standard type, ranging from herb gathering to monster subjugation.
The second is personal requests.
These are direct requests from individuals asking, “Please, I really need your help.”
Whether you accept or not is up to you, but most people have a good reason for making a request, and the reward tends to be higher, so unless there’s a compelling reason, you usually don’t turn them down.
Of course, they go through the Guild.
The third is direct requests from the Adventurers’ Guild.
Based on the profession you wrote down on your application, your aptitude, mission success rate, contribution level, and reputation, the Guild will assign you missions.
If you're a summoner, for example, you'll probably get a lot of monster-related tasks.
When I leveled up, I increased my item slots.
I've kept my teleportation magic a secret since it's apparently way too powerful.
Milfie is A-Rank, with high combat ability, and the fact that she's a demi-human seems to be reassuring for some clients.
And this time—unbelievably—it’s the third type.
Just as I was about to check out the request board like usual, I got approached for a direct request.
And then—
"Princess Eltia, thank you for coming."
"Not at all. I'm the one who should be thanking you for lending your strength."
The throne room sparkled with extravagant decor, and an overwhelming number of VIPs lined both sides.
In front of the stained-glass window, seated in a lavish, ornate chair, was His Majesty the King.
And now, the princess who just gave a graceful bow was our client.
With long, pale pink hair and wide doll-like eyes, she wore a dignified, pure-white dress.
Standing next to me was Milfie, dressed in a sharp collared outfit that was nothing like her usual look, exuding a dignified aura.
… Wow, she's so cool.
She has this side to her too!?
Isn't this amazing!? She was saying “I'm huuungry meoooow” when she woke up this morning, right!?
And now she’s got this face that looks like if I talk to her, she'll hit me with a “... Do you need something?”
"Sorry, this must be pretty overwhelming for you."
Noticing my weird behavior, the beautiful woman next to me spoke.
Correction—S-Rank adventurer Bridget.
She had brown hair and piercing green eyes that seemed to see right through you.
Tall, cool, and felt like the dependable older sister type.
Apparently, she was the one who requested us through the Guild.
The job was to assist with Princess Eltia’s sightseeing and carry her luggage.
Technically, there was no need for me to be standing in the throne room, but I insisted on helping from beginning to end if we were going to do this.
Though I didn't expect security to be this tight.
"I'm fine. I'll do my best."
"Good. It'll be over soon. Don't push yourself."
According to Milfie, S-Ranks are in a whole other league.
In terms of mana, combat power, and overall ability, there's a world of difference between A-Rank and S-Rank.
… Yeah, she’s seriously incredible. Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy...
Then, the upper right corner of my vision started flashing.
… No way, now of all times!? It barely ever shows up!
Right now, the princess was receiving some kind of very important document from His Majesty.
But damn it—calm down, lustful thoughts! Still yourself!
… Click.

Her favorite thing is stuffed animals!?
No way... Wh-What an attack on a man's heart!
Sewing, cooking—white underwear.
"... This is basically a kill combo."
"Hm? Did you say something?"
Game over. Match complete.
Bridget, you're a goddess.
This is beyond the norm.
"No problem. Leave it to me."

"Fmeowhhh, I was all tense and now I’m totally wiped out, meowaaah..."
It was all over now. We were waiting at the back gate of the castle, in a secluded spot.
We’d changed out of our clothes too, now dressed like ordinary commoners instead of in our adventurer gear.
Milfie gave a big yawn.
"I was surprised though. That was the first time I saw you look so sharp. You looked really cool."
"You think so? But you looked cool too, Tabito. You seemed a little surprised at one point though—just my imagination?"
"Definitely just your imagination."
Sorry, Milfie.
I am trying to suppress my worldly desires, so please forgive me.
Then Bridget and Princess Eltia appeared.
I don't know if “really” is the right word here, but we’re seriously about to go on a secret bodyguard + sightseeing mission.
She specifically wanted to see the town incognito… I guess that’s a hassle for the people around her too.
Bridget had surprisingly changed into something like a one-piece dress.
It looked humble enough, but she still couldn’t hide her stunning figure.
The princess wore simple, girl-next-door clothes that made her look like a cute childhood friend.
That said, she was still undeniably beautiful.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. Princess Eltia, your time is limited until just past sunset. Now then, how should we address you from here on?"
Right, we can’t really be going around calling her “Princess” or “Your Highness.”
"Yes. First, thank you all for today. As for my name, you don’t have to call me anything in particular. But if needed, just drop the 'El' and call me Tia. And you don’t have to speak formally either."
With that, Tia gave a polite bow.
She was expressionless, unlike how she’d been in front of the King.
Maybe this was her true self.
Well, there’s no need for her to fake a smile now, I suppose.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Tabito, and this is my companion, Milfie."
"Nice to meet you! Tia!"
At that moment, Milfie gave an incredibly casual greeting.
I hurried to correct her, but then remembered what Tia had said earlier.
"Yes, that works for me. I'm probably the youngest here, so I’d appreciate it if you talked to me normally. That way, it won’t seem suspicious to others either."
A rather dry response came back, but Milfie didn’t seem bothered at all.
Well, fulfilling the client’s wishes is part of an adventurer’s job.
… Alright.
"Nice to meet you, Tia. Leave everything to me today."
"Tabito’s a sightseeing pro! You can relax!"
With that, we began our tour just as Tia had requested, starting with some sightseeing.
We had done our research in advance, so our first stop was the famous Grand Temple.

The stained glass on the west side was painted by Arthur Dorsty.
It's easy to overlook, but a must-see for fans.

“…………”
I was sure she’d enjoy it, but she didn’t seem all that interested.
Wasn't it her idea to go sightseeing in the first place?
Milfie was also trying to chat with her, but the replies were vague and unenthusiastic.
… Still, this is also a matter of our credibility as adventurers.
If she doesn’t enjoy herself, the request will be a waste.
I called out to her gently.
"Tia."
"… What is it?"
I told her about the things mentioned in the reviews, choosing the ones that seemed most interesting and sharing them in an amusing way.
Tia began to nod occasionally.
I couldn’t tell if she was really interested or not.
"And this is supposedly a quote from Adbalus. The stained glass next to it was done by Arthur Dorsty—"
"… You know so much."
"Tabito's really amazing, meow! You should ask him anything, Tia!"
I thought that was a bit much, but the energy behind it must have helped.
Tia smiled for the first time.
"Hehe, then what about this?"
I quickly looked it up in the reviews and explained what was written.
Bit by bit, her curiosity grew, and a smile spread across her face.
Ah, I see now.
This is the real her.
Though… who exactly are Adbalus and Arthur?
"Tia, this one’s amazing too, meow!"
"Wow, it really is."
Before long, Milfie and Tia were chatting like sisters.
She must have opened up to us, as her expression had completely changed from when we first met.
Just then, Bridget spoke to me.
"Thank you. I’m not familiar with sightseeing spots, so this really helps."
"Oh, no, we’re happy to help."
"… Also, your ability is quite something. Can you really know everything?"
"Not exactly. I just… I guess I can sense people’s strong feelings or impressions about things."
"… I see. I’d like to talk more when we have some time."
"Same here."
Bridget had been informed beforehand that she would focus entirely on protection.
Our role was to act as guides—basically like walking tour guides.
Still, she kept giving me curious glances now and then.
Do I really look that unusual?
"Tabito, Tia says she wants to try some delicious sweets!"
We were only supposed to do sightseeing, so this unexpected request surprised me.
Tia looked shy and fidgety.
… She’s kind of cute?
"Any preferences? Like fruit, or cream?"
"Umm… well, I like… chocolate…"
Fidgety Tia said fidgeting.
"Got it. Then I’ll find the best chocolate shop there is!"
Her face lit up with a bright smile.
Ah—so this is a princess?
She’s just a regular girl.
We found a well-reviewed shop and went inside.
After ordering the recommended item, Tia happily smiled while getting chocolate on her cheek.
And then—
"Tabito, thank you so much. This was really… fun."
"Don’t mention it. I had fun too—found a great place."
"Meow!"
Finally, she gave us her biggest smile of the day.
"Hey, Tabito, Milfie! Next, I want to see the townscape—"
"Tia, it's about time."
In the bustling street, Bridget said this to her with a firm tone just as she turned around with an absolutely radiant smile.
It was evening—the promised time.
She must have had a great time; by the end, she was even speaking in a casual tone.
We found so many good shops that we ended up buying lots of souvenirs.
Good thing I made sure to empty my travel bag beforehand, just in case.
Even though it was a mission, I genuinely had a lot of fun.
I even got to visit places I’d never seen before.
But Tia looked a little sad.
"... I'd like to see the Royal Capital’s townscape one last time—would that be too difficult?"
"My apologies. It would become a trust issue with the Adventurers’ Guild."
Milfie also didn't try to push this one, seemingly aware there was no room to argue.
And just then, out of nowhere, I leveled up.
Probably from all the walking.
"... Right. Sorry, I had too much fun and ended up being selfish. Thank you so much for indulging me like this. I had a wonderful time."
"I had fun too! Tia, let’s hang out again sometime!"
"H-hang out, you say—?"
At that moment, Milfie panicked.
She must have completely forgotten that Tia is a princess.
She hurried to correct herself, but Tia actually looked delighted instead.
"Thank you. If you'd like, please hang out with me again."
"Nhehe, thank you-meow!"
"I had fun too, Tia."
But just then, for the briefest moment, a shadow passed over Tia’s expression.
And at that instant—I realized something.
The meaning behind that look.
… Ah, so that’s what this is.
I see.
On the way back, I slipped away from Bridget and called out to Tia.
"Tia, you're staying in the royal castle tonight, right? Heading back tomorrow?"
"Huh? Oh, yes, that’s right. Why do you ask?"
"… Can I come get you tonight?"
"W-what do you mean—"
"You want to see the townscape, don’t you?"
When I asked softly, Tia’s face brightened just a little, and she gave a quiet nod.
Then I brought her to the castle’s back gate, where the waiting butler was. Mission complete.
"Thank you. See you again."
"Yeah. See you, Tia."
After the escort was over, Bridget came over and spoke to me.
"Thanks. That’s the end of the mission. Sorry for how sudden it all was."
"No, thank you. Honestly, it kind of felt like we were the ones who had all the fun."
"Thank you very much!"
Still, Bridget looked strangely curious.
"… Tabito, I heard you have amnesia. Is that true?"
"Huh? Oh, yes, it is."
"… I see."
"Is something wrong?"
"It’s nothing. Your payment will probably come later. I’m tired too, so I’ll rest today. Let’s talk more slowly another time. I had fun. Thanks to you too, Milfie."
"Thank you as well."
"Thank you-meow!"
Bridget walked away without looking back even once.
So cool.
Totally gives off that capable woman vibe.
But I’m sorry—I noticed.
How she stared at that teddy bear in the souvenir shop.
How, when we weren’t paying attention, she picked it up and whispered, “So cute...”
And how now she was heading straight for that shop.
… Way too adorable.
"Tabito, what did you mean by ‘go pick up Tia’?"
"Huh? Y-you heard that?"
"I’ve got good ears. What do you mean?"
"Uh, well…"
And then—I told Milfie everything.
