The Ancient Dungeon… is More Beautiful Than Any Place I’ve Ever Seen!
We had finally discovered it—an untouched dungeon, one where no one had ever set foot before.
Normally, dungeons looked like windowless buildings, blocky and foreboding.
But the one in front of us looked just like a royal castle.
It had a slightly weathered look, with real windows, and when I looked down toward the entrance, there was a beautiful garden spread out before us.
Even though no one should have maintained it, colorful flowers were in full bloom.
And yet, I could still tell this was definitely a dungeon—thanks to the text shown on the guide map.
And then—

A pristine, never-before-reviewed listing appeared.
“We’ll need to be extra careful from here on out…”
“Milfie’s right. There could be monsters we’ve never seen before.”
“Should we set a time limit for our stay? Mister Tabito, on the map—wait, where did you go…?”
“Guys, come here! This garden has blue roses blooming!”
I called out to everyone.
Blue roses aren’t supposed to exist—at least, that’s what I knew from my old world.
The reason is simple: rose petals lack the pigment to create blue.
But what was blooming here… were undeniably real.
There was no sign of any artificial cultivation or hybridization.
“This is amazing. I’m definitely jotting this down in the guidebook.”
Not even in the capital city of Rivana had I ever seen such a thing.
Noble estates are always full of flowers, and gardening is both a hobby and an industry here—I knew that much.
If we shared this, it’d make a lot of people happy.
I was so overjoyed that I’d gotten totally absorbed… until I noticed how quiet everything had gotten around me.
I quickly apologized, but for some reason, everyone just burst out laughing.
Milfie laughed loudly as always, Bridget chuckled softly, and Aqua gave a gentle smile.
“W-What’s so funny?!”
“We were just thinking—yep, that’s Tabito. Even in a tense situation, you’re the same as always.”
“I agree. That’s one of your best traits. Being able to stay calm and cheerful is more important than anything.”
“I thought the same. You’re really something, Mister Tabito.”
Wasn’t I just being airheaded? But they insisted that’s what made it great.
Really…?
Still—
“Thanks. Sure, we came here on a request. But I don’t want to forget our own goals either. Let’s grab some treasure, write up an awesome guidebook, and enjoy the ride together!”
I blurted it out, maybe a bit too forcefully.
Was that too out of place? Were they going to call me some kind of carefree map freak?
But those fears were totally unfounded.
“I’m in! Like you said, we’ve got to have fun with this!”
“You’re right. I’d forgotten for a moment. It’s because we’re adventurers that we should enjoy the adventure.”
Milfie and Bridget both chimed in with smiles, and I couldn’t help but smile back.
Then it hit me—Aqua had once said she didn’t feel emotions. The only thing she liked was magic books, which had nothing to do with this right now.
But she walked over to the blue roses, and her eyes softened so gently.
“I always thought I didn’t have emotions. But being with you, Mister Tabito… I realized I just didn’t know what they were.”
There’s a quote I love:
“It’s not about where you go on a journey—
it’s about who you go with.”
I’m really glad I got to come here with these girls.
“The number of reviews on the guide map: zero. We’ve got no intel, but let’s team up and conquer this place together!”
All right—this is gonna be fun!
[Ding, dingy, ding! You’ve reached the second checkpoint of the stamp rally! As a special bonus, you’ve received: The Fuzzy That Just Feels Right!]Just then, the usual announcement echoed in my head.
That… sounded like a strange name.
“‘The Fuzzy That Just Feels Right’…?”
The moment I muttered that, a puff of smoke burst from the guide map—and something popped out!
“Wha—Whaaa!?”
“E-Eh?! Enemy alert, meow!”
It wasn’t just me—apparently Milfie and the others could see it too.
Everyone instinctively drew their weapons—
—but froze the moment they saw how tiny and ridiculously adorable it was.
“Mokyu? Mokyu-mokyu!”
The creature looked like a slightly oversized squirrel.
Brown, fluffy, with big fluffy ears and a round, soft voice.
Its tail had a little pin shape at the end—this had to be The Fuzzy That Just Feels Right.
“Mokyu!”
… It’s kinda cute?
Then it suddenly started hopping around with soft “mokyu mokyu” sounds, leaping excitedly through the garden.
We chased after it until it came to a stop in what looked like a completely ordinary spot.
“Mokyu! Mo… mokyuu!”
It shoved its tiny hands into the ground and started digging furiously.
W-Wait, what are you doing?! Don’t dig too deep or you’ll fall in!
“Mokyu!”
“… Wait—is that a treasure chest?!”
The next instant, the guide map updated to display a [Treasure Chest].
Could it be… this little guy can sniff out hidden items that don’t even show up on the map?
“No traps… but what’s this dirty-looking stone?”
I cautiously opened the chest, and inside was a black stone, a bit smaller than a plastic bottle.
I didn’t get it—what the heck was this thing?
Just then, Bridget raised her voice.
“Tabito… that’s an S-rank magic stone.”
“Eh? Wait—S-rank!?”
“If you attach it to a weapon, it’ll grant an elemental attribute. And if you sell it, it’ll go for no less than a hundred gold coins.”
E-EHHH!?
“Momyuu?”
Wait a second…
Is this little guy insanely useful or what!?
What do you think about this chapter?
