After Obtaining [Otherworld Guide Map] With 5.0★★★★★ (57,894 Reviews) Rating, I’ll Enjoy a Leisurely Slow-Life Journey Through Another World, Relying on [User Reviews]
Yakumo Tabito, reborn in another world, obtains the [Otherworld Guide Map]—an overpowered skill that lets him see [User Reviews] for any location.
Yakumo Tabito had his spirit worn down by the daily grind of a black company.
But after being reborn in another world, he gains the Guide Map skill.
This cheat-tier ability allows him to check user reviews for any hunting ground, town, or even dungeons.
And the best part? It even comes with a spatial bag, hyper-maturation, and Area Pins that let him travel anywhere freely!?
This is a heartwarming tale of a travel-loving protagonist who, after meeting a cat-eared girl, sets off on a relaxed journey through another world.
The [Otherworld Guide Map] and the Pitfall Is [Freakin’ Awesome]
"Yep… this is definitely another world."
Standing in the middle of a dense forest, I stared at a vibrantly colored mushroom I’d never seen before.
Even if I was starving, there was no way that thing was edible.
My name is Yakumo Tabito. In my past life, I worked myself to the bone at a black company.
Crushed by pressure from above, weighed down by guilt over those below—your classic middle-management hell.
Endless paperwork. Days spent sacrificing sleep.
Then, one day on my way home, my chest suddenly seized up.
I collapsed to the ground, consciousness fading.
When I woke up—I was here.
I love nature.
Back when I had time for hobbies, I used to travel—both domestically and abroad—visiting World Heritage sites whenever I could.
Of course, once work took over, all that stopped.
Back then, I’d always relied on maps and travel guides to get around.
Maybe that’s why—floating in the upper right of my vision was a map, just like the ones you’d see in games.
The more I walked, the more detailed it became.
And so, without thinking, I just kept moving.
Right now, all it showed was this endless, overgrown forest.
And then—
"That flickering thing… that’s gotta be it, right?"
Familiar text hovered in the air.
Saying it out loud would be embarrassing, but I couldn’t help myself.
With as much energy as I could muster, I shouted:
"Status Open!"

Title: Otherworld Traveler
—
"... Hah. It actually worked."
The text was instantly readable—a semi-transparent status screen, plain as day.
"But damn, my stats are garbage across the board…"
I’d hoped for something more cheat-like, but no such luck. The "Otherworld Traveler" title was probably tied to my past-life hobby.
On the map, a red human-shaped pin marked where I was standing.
Common sense said that had to be my current location.
"This… is actually really useful."
Meaning I’d always know exactly where I was.
Directional awareness is critical. Without a map, clearing an RPG would be a nightmare.
In that sense, I’d already gained an insane advantage from the start.
Then, I noticed something—the mushroom I’d found earlier was now displayed on the map as a stylized icon.
When I looked back at it, game-like effects and text popped up.
—
[Colorful Poison-Smile Mushroom]
Beautiful to look at, but consuming it will induce uncontrollable laughter, leading to fatal respiratory failure.
—
"Whoa… that was close."
I almost died in seconds.
But—this is amazing.
As I walked a bit further to expand the map, a blue icon appeared alongside the label "Stream."
My throat was parched. Following the map, I soon heard the sound of running water.
"Whoa, no way."
It seemed the map had a wider field of vision than my actual eyes.
Like a hybrid between Google Maps and a game’s minimap.
After quenching my thirst at the stream, I caught my reflection in the water.
… I look like a foreigner.
Not quite a boy, but more of a young man.
Light brown hair, well-defined features—kinda handsome, actually.
But upon closer inspection… my hair had a slight red tint?
Touching it, I realized—it was blood.
Panicking, I checked for wounds, but there was no pain, no injuries.
It seemed to have dried already.
"... Someone else’s blood?"
Then—PING!
A sound came from nowhere, making me flinch.
At the same time, a [!] appeared on the map.
Tapping it revealed the label [Lost Item].
Following the marker, I spotted something glowing on the ground.
Crouching down, I found—
"A dagger? And this sticky red stuff all over it—"
—
[Bloodstained Dagger]
Belonged to a murdered adventurer.
Sell Price: Unknown
—
"Th-That’s creepy as hell…"
So people really do die in this world.
Better stay sharp.
But this Guide Map is seriously OP.
I thought it was just a normal map, but it even analyzes things for me.
With this, even completely unfamiliar places won’t be a problem.
Hell, just being able to spot lost items on the roadside is already busted.
I wanted to test my other skills, but I wasn’t sure how.
Multilingual Comprehension seemed self-explanatory, but what about Hyper Maturation? Bread? Does it instantly bake bread?
Saying it out loud did nothing, so I gave up and kept walking—
[Ding, ding, ding!]Walking distance reached 1,000 steps! Due to Hyper Maturation bonus, new [User Reviews] have been unlocked!
With a cheerful trumpet fanfare, a new category appeared on the map.
It was the same kind of thing you’d see on Google Maps—reviews for restaurants, tourist spots…
"... No way."
Heart pounding, I tapped my current location.
—
[Near Royal Capital: Demon Forest]
2.9★★☆☆☆ (14,455 reviews)
—
"Whoa… this is insane."
Unbelievably convenient.
The number in parentheses had to be the review count.
The abysmal rating was concerning, but I skimmed through the comments anyway.

[E-Rank Adventurer]
★☆☆☆☆
Watch out at night. Monsters attack from everywhere.
Daytime’s fine, but night is way too dangerous. [C-Rank Adventurer] ★★★☆☆
Relatively peaceful during the day, but the number of monsters at night is insane. [F-Rank Adventurer] ★☆☆☆☆
MY LEG—MY LEG IS GONE AAAAAAAH [B-Rank Adventurer] ★★★★☆
Great for gathering materials. Just be careful—Demon Wolves call for backup. [C-Rank Adventurer] ★★★☆☆
Lots of useful medicinal herbs. Only downside is how huge the place is.
—
"Holy crap…"
Basically, people had written down their experiences, observations, and warnings about this place.
No idea how they "posted" these, but if they were accurate… nighttime was bad news.
One particularly terrifying review stood out, but I decided not to dwell on it.
Most of the others said similar things.
I quickly checked the sky.
Still bright, but night would come eventually.
According to the reviews, I should get out of this forest before dark.
Normally, wandering blindly would be suicide, but with this Otherworld Guide Map, escaping shouldn’t be too hard.
"Alright, let’s move!"
I picked up the pace. Nervous, but also excited to see the map expand.
Then, at the edge of the map, the word [Kingdom] appeared, followed by an icon of a [Castle].
—Nice.
The Guide Map should work inside the kingdom too.
I couldn’t wait to see what else it could do.
Then—a sound.
Another [!] popped up on the map.
Another lost item? I could ignore it, but there was still time before nightfall.
Might as well grab it. Pretty sure there’s no "lost and found" law in this world. Probably.
But as I got closer, the label changed to—
[Person]"... What?"
On high alert, I approached slowly.
Soon, I found what looked like a pitfall. The marker still read [Person].
Cautiously peering inside—
"... Zzz… so hungry… mmph…"
A girl was sleeping at the bottom, her cheeks smudged with dirt.
But even in that state, her golden hair and delicate profile stood out.
The real shock?
She had cat ears.
… Not hair, but actual ears?
And behind her—a fluffy, snow-white tail.
Flick. Flick. It swayed lazily.
"H-Hey! You okay!? You alive!? … Uh, cat girl!?"
"... Hweh? Eh? A p-persoooooon!? Waaaaah! P-please help Milfieeeeeee.”
Sobbing hysterically, the girl—Milfie—thrust both hands up like a surrendering soldier, begging for help.
And then—
[Freakin’ Awesome]"... Uh… h-hold on! I’ll get you out!"
"Waaaah! Thank youuuu."
I desperately reached down. Milfie stretched her arms up.
And then—something shook violently.
I won’t say what, because that’d be inappropriate, but oh man, did it shake.
Maybe getting reborn in another world… isn’t so bad after all.

[Milfie]
★☆☆☆☆
Why is there a pitfall here, nyaaa!?
I’m so hungry!
Apparently nights here are brutal. Gotta hurry out of the forest.
But damn… boobs are amazing no matter the situation.
