The gruff-looking old man asked nervously for some reason.
He had a towel wrapped around his head and had worked hard to prepare the fish I’d caught.
I left the cooking method to him, and now the table was lined with a variety of dishes: sashimi, grilled, fried, steamed, boiled, marinated—every kind of preparation for what looked like bluefin tuna.
Though technically, the fish’s real name is Perlucchama.
First, I dipped the sashimi into something like soy sauce. The taste was slightly different from regular tuna, but the rich umami filled my mouth.
I couldn’t help giving him a big thumbs up.
“This is amazing, old man.”
“... Ahh, thank goodness. I’m so relieved…”
He suddenly started tearing up. Why is he getting all emotional!?
All I did was ask him to cook it, right!?

Some folks who seemed like staff showed up, gave him a pat on the shoulder, and disappeared back into the kitchen.

When I looked up, I saw Milfie, ears twitching and chest bouncing, frozen in place.
Even Aqua, sitting next to her, had gone still.
Even with a neutral expression, blonde elf girls sure are cute.
“It—it’s too delicious, meowaa!? So this is what real fish dishes taste like!?”

“Discovering cool stuff is what traveling’s all about. Of course I’m sure.”

Maybe I’ll ask Aqua to help write the next guide map.
I still don’t know much about magic, and Milfie’s not really the type to explain it.
