Scent
In the carriage, Dirkhert sits at Meluerina’s right side and Volsung’s left side.
“Gata, goto, gata, goto…… it shakes quite a lot, doesn’t it?”
Although Dirkhert’s legs sway back and forth, he sits composedly. A while ago, he would peek at the scenery in front, and he would peek at the scenery behind. Because of that, Meluerina cautioned him “It’s dangerous so please sit down”.

Although Chocola, Tart, and Pudding are at hand, Meluerina told them not to move while in the carriage, so they are all bored. It’s boring without anything to do.
In the carriage, there are two male adventurers, an elderly couple, a young woman, the two male drivers, a man and woman that boarded the carriage in the Hulc village and Dirkhert and others. The carriage which now holds twelve people has almost reached its maximal capacity due to the increased people and stacked baggage.
In the boredom, Dirkhert rolls on Volsung’s lap, and peshipeshi attacks Pudding’s ears with his face.
“Dirk-sama, that hurts.”
“Nmuu~……”
Being said that, he now presses Pudding against Volsung’s face. The meaning is not understood.
His legs were on Meluerina, he was now completely laying down.
Seeing such Dirkhert, the women and the elderly couple in the carriage giggled.
“Look, Dirk-sama. Your manners are so bad that you are being laughed at.”
After Meluerina says so, Dirkhert lowers his legs down and sits properly.
“But, I’m bored and my butt hurtsmon.”
“Then, do you want to sit on my lap?”
“…… Is that okay?”
“If it’s Dirk-sama, then you are greatly welcomed.”
Saying that, Volsung lifts him high up in the air, making Dirkhert “Kyaa~” scream in happy voice. Then, when he makes himself comfortable on Volsung’s legs, he sits Pudding and Chocola on the seat he was sitting in. He wanted to let Tart also sit there, but because there wasn’t enough space he put Tart on Meluerina’s lap. And then, after he nodded in satisfaction, he buried his face into Volsung’s chest.
“Vol you see, you smell like grass or a field full of flowers. I like that~”
“Dirk-sama always smells like the sun.”
“Really? Yay! Melu you see, she always smells like soap, you know?”
“…… I always do laundry, after all.”
The little Maou-sama is always somewhat naughty. Because of that, his clothes are usually dirty. On the bad days, he has to change clothes over and over again. It can’t be helped that Meluerina has to do laundry so often.
And then, after some casual conversation, a light sleeper’s breathing could be heard. Dirkhert apparently fell asleep.
When Dirkhert finally became quiet, the two let out a sigh. It became so silent when he became quiet, that it somehow felt lacking.
