The next day.
Morning.
Maryne woke up in her private room at the company office.
Like always, she gave Firuru some good fluffing, then paused on the bed and thought.
(Now that I think about it… I haven’t used Fast Travel at all lately.)
The ability to instantly move to any place she had visited before, Fast Travel.
She had already confirmed she could still use it even after being reincarnated into this world.
But until now, she’d barely had any chance to use it.
Back when she lived in the mansion, there wasn’t really anywhere to go in the first place.
Even after opening shops, they were close enough to walk to, so there was no need to use it.
(But things are different now.)
She had two bases.
The company office and the Flamsteed family mansion.
Both had rooms for her.
Rather than walking back and forth, using Fast Travel would obviously be much easier.

Maryne stood in the center of the room.
She pictured her room in the mansion.
The canopy bed.
Morning sunlight streaming through the window.
The paintings on the wall.
[Fast Travel]Her body was wrapped in a faint light, and for a moment, the sensation under her feet disappeared.
The next instant, Maryne was standing in her room at the mansion.

A familiar room.
The bed sheets had been neatly arranged by the maids.
Outside the window, the garden’s greenery spread out.
(Just as I thought, it’s instant.)
Maryne smiled.
She immediately pictured her room at the company office.
A flash of light.
A brief sense of floating.
She was back in her office room.
From atop the bed, Firuru stared at her with a puzzled look.
“Meow?”
“I’m back, Firuru. I just popped over to the mansion for a bit.”
Looking uninterested, Firuru yawned and curled back up.
Maryne leaned against the window and crossed her arms.
(… This is incredibly useful.)
Zero travel time.
Zero fatigue.
And she could jump anywhere she had already visited.
Right now, it was only good for going back and forth between the mansion and the office.
But as her business expanded, that would change.
When opening shops in other cities.
When dealing with merchants in distant regions.
When inspecting the sources of ingredients.
Trips that would normally take days by carriage, Maryne could do them in an instant.
(Business runs on speed. If travel time becomes zero, that alone gives me overwhelming advantage over other merchants.)
The bigger the business grew, the more valuable this ability would become.
(I should increase the number of places I can go as soon as possible. If I visit various regions now, I’ll be able to jump there instantly when needed.)
Well, that was a task for the future.
“Alright.”
Maryne picked up Firuru.
“Let’s give it our all today too, Firuru.”
“Meow.”
First, her morning routine.
Fluff, fluff.
Then she got to work.
