The Advancing Rosarin!!
A certain royal’s Point of View
And so, Rosarin-sama's party set out, and their might was awe-inspiring. Although they had already wiped out the majority of the monsters, those that remained were still significant in number.
Yet, they advanced effortlessly. The knights following behind were struggling to keep up.
First, there was the hero, Geraldin-dono. He had transformed into his beast form and was literally (not figuratively) scattering enemies left and right. While he did wield his sword, he also hurled foes aside with his bare hands, clearing a path. The way his enemies flew as if they were made of paper was monstrous. That sheer overwhelming strength—that was what made Geraldin-dono a hero. That was why he was called "Hero."
Supporting Geraldin-dono was the Black Panther Knight. While subtly ensuring Geraldin-dono didn’t overextend himself, he provided cover. He was also highly skilled, cutting down enemies with a wide array of efficient attacks. A label appeared above the Black Panther Knight: "Dirk Burton, Rosarin’s fiancé." That was the name of the spouse in their upcoming marriage. It seemed Rosarin-sama was already engaged at this time.
The Silver Wolf Hero and the Black Panther Knight paved the way forward.
Dirk-dono glanced briefly at Rosarin-sama.
"I feel at ease knowing Rosarin is in a safe position."
His smile was so gentle that it was clear their relationship was not one of political convenience but of genuine affection.
However, it wasn’t just the Silver Wolf and Black Panther pair who were impressive. The knights following them, as well as a mole-like beastman, were astonishing as well.
The knights dispatched the monsters before them with minimal movement, their graceful motions so light and elegant that it was easy to forget they were performing sword techniques at all.
Meanwhile, the mole beastman? He tore through enemies with his claws, ripped them apart, crushed them, and tossed them aside one after another. His seemingly gentle demeanor was deceptive—his combat style was utterly merciless.
And then, of course, there was Rosarin-sama. She was overwhelming.
Sitting proudly atop a Silver Knight’s shoulders, she commanded the battlefield. The Silver Knight was using an unfamiliar weapon to attack enemies from afar. Her marksmanship was outstanding—every shot precisely eliminated its target.
Every now and then, Rosarin-sama would issue instructions to keep Geraldin-dono from going too far while simultaneously healing wounded knights and soldiers. Her wide battlefield awareness and precise orders made it clear—she possessed both the dignity and capacity of an empress. If she were not already engaged, I would have wished for her to become my son’s wife.
Even amidst the battlefield, she was noble, beautiful, and kind to all without discrimination. It was no wonder she was revered as a Saintess. That she humbly denied this title only made her even more remarkable.
Incidentally, any enemy that approached Rosarin-sama was instantly skewered by the needle-like quills of tiny Kesaran Pasaran. Were Kesaran Pasaran always this powerful? Or had she trained them?
At this point, I began to wonder—how much of this was real? I knew I should simply enjoy it as entertainment, but I couldn’t help my curiosity.
Please, someone, explain this to me later.
Finally, Yggdrasil came into view. However, a swarm of monsters was attempting to attack it.
"Valkyrie, hurry!"
Rosarin-sama’s voice was filled with urgency. If Yggdrasil were to be destroyed, the land would become barren and lifeless. I reassured myself that Wolfanea had not fallen, so everything should be fine, but I couldn’t take my eyes off the scene.
Just as disaster seemed inevitable, the monsters attacking Yggdrasil were suddenly blown away—by a Crystal Dragon.
"Rulan?!"
"Jash asked me to help! I’m here to assist! My brethren are with me!"
A label appeared over the dragon: "Crystal Dragon Rulan—Rosarin’s friend… Friend Dragon?"
Well, he wasn’t human, so "Friend Dragon?" did seem like an appropriate title.
The sky glittered—an entire swarm of Crystal Dragons had arrived.
Come to think of it, during the earlier entertainment event, I had seen an incredibly rare sight—a dragon dance. Wait… were all of those dragons actually raised by Rosarin-sama?! No, since they were "Friend Dragons?" perhaps they were more like… allies?
"So many dragons?!"
The Wolfanea knights were in an uproar. If that many dragons attacked, (excluding Rosarin-sama’s group), no one would stand a chance.
Rosarin-sama shouted,
"The Crystal Dragons are my sworn allies! They have come to aid us in overcoming this crisis! Do not harm them!"
"Ooooooh!"
"As expected of the Saintess!"
"To even command Crystal Dragons… As expected of the Hero’s master!"
The Wolfanea knights were all visibly moved, some even teary-eyed. It was understandable—just when the situation seemed dire, an overwhelming force had arrived, led by the revered Saintess.
With the dragons' assistance, the battle shifted from a desperate struggle to a full-scale extermination.
"We’ve arrived!"
Rosarin-sama finally reached Yggdrasil. She set up a barrier and called out to it. Meanwhile, Dirk-dono and the others continued mopping up the remaining enemies.
"Yggdrasil, wake up."
(… Munya, munya, no more food?)
Hey. It’s sleep-talking?! In this situation?! Seriously?! And wait—Yggdrasil can talk this clearly?! I’ve sensed a faint will from it before, but I’ve never heard it speak outright!
"Sui."
A green-haired boy appeared with the label "Rosarin’s Guardian Spirit—Sui."
Ah, I see. Thanks to the Green Guardian Spirit, she could communicate with it.
"Rosarin, your eyes are scary.”
Sui muttered, looking visibly disturbed. Given the circumstances, though, I couldn’t blame her for being upset. Even I would be furious.
"I’m going to wake up this sleepyhead."
"… Alright."
"If I forcibly pour magic power into it…"
"It will definitely wake up."
"Alright."
… Alright? Was she really going to do that? The Saint certainly had no hesitation in taking bold actions.
"You’re not hesitating at all?! What if it evolves into something weird again?!"
Weird evolution? Had something evolved strangely before…? For some reason, I suddenly envisioned a herd of overly muscular cacti sprinting across the screen… What??
While I was still processing that absurdity, the conversation continued.
"Well, it can’t get worse than this!"
"That’s true! I’ll support you!"
Sui and Rosarin-sama poured their magic into Yggdrasil.
And then, Yggdrasil… Yggdrasil…
"What’s going on with Rosarin?"
"Uh… is this my fault?"
A golden light radiated brightly.
Whaaaat!? I've never seen Yggdrasil in this state before. Is it okay!??
"… Anyway, Yggdrasil is awake now. What do we do?"
"Yggdrasil-san, a Great Tsunami is happening! Please put up a barrier around yourself for protection! Also, I apologize, so please don’t cut off the magic power supply!"
(Fwaaah~ Oh my? It certainly is quite serious. Understood. It’s Rosarin-chan’s request, after all.)
Wait, Rosarin-sama knows Yggdrasil!? And more importantly, Yggdrasil is talking—a lot!!
Is it because she has the Blessing of Greenery? Or is it because she’s a saintess!?
And seriously, where does the truth even start and end in all of this!?
"Thank you!"
(Blessings upon the earth.)
Magic power returned to the land. I could see Yggdrasil’s golden radiance being absorbed into the ground.
(I’m sorry, it was my fault. As an apology, here’s something for you.)
"Huh?"
Rosarin-sama was showered with a sparkling, glitter-like golden dust.
(Monsters dislike that glow. You should scatter it around villages and such.)
Rosarin-sama made a face that clearly showed she was not pleased about being covered in the glitter. Because of it, she was now physically sparkling. Sui was laughing hysterically.
"Well then, I’ll gratefully accept it. See you again, Yggdrasil-san."
(Yes, take care~)
As Rosarin-sama left Yggdrasil, the Christia Knights and the adventurers finally arrived. That was unexpectedly fast, but…
"Ojousama, are you unharmed!? …What is that?"
A middle-aged man with the title "Christia Knight Captain, Rudolf" displayed above his head appeared.
"ROSARIIIN!!"
A silver knight (probably) greeted her.
"… That’s Valkyrie."
"Is it yours, young lady?"
"… Yes."
The knight captain seemed like he wanted to say something, but wisely decided not to press the issue.
"This Great Tsunami was insane. What kind of massive beast came out to cause that crater?"
"……"
Rosarin-sama averted her eyes. I really wanted to tell him that the great being disguised as a beautiful young girl standing right here was the cause.
"A-Anyway, where are Dirk and the others?"
"Over there."
"Wow… there’s a path."
The corpses had formed a road-like path.
"There sure are a lot of dead monsters."
"Rudolf-san, Christia Knights, and adventurers, I have a request."
"Oh?"
"… Please process these corpses into meat."
"… What exactly did we come here for?"
Yeah, really.
"Sorry. This was more than I expected."
Rosarin-sama probably hadn’t thought she’d be able to handle the majority of it on her own.
The heroes were just absurdly powerful.
Seriously, where does reality even begin in all of this!?
"Well, it's for the peace of Christia and Wolfanea. Please, do it."
Prince Alphage gave instructions via communication.
It was an order from the First Prince. They couldn’t refuse. The knights and adventurers began dismantling the corpses, joined by Wolfanea’s knights and soldiers.
"Alphage-sama, I’m going to check on Rabisha-chan and the magic beasts."
"Rabisha?"
"My maid and bodyguard. I had her take my magic beasts and spirits to assist with rescue, evacuation, and protection of nearby residents."
"… When did you do that?"
Yeah, really. Just how did she manage that? She’s too sharp!
"Right after seeing the tsunami."
"…… Understood. Go ahead. Most of it is taken care of. There shouldn’t be any monsters left that could harm those three monsters in human form. But there are still a few stragglers, so be careful."
"Yes."
Rosarin-sama hopped onto the shoulder of the silver knight and dashed off.
When they reached the village, she spoke to a rabbit beastman.
"Rabisha-chan!"
A girl with the title "Rosarin’s Maid-in-Training, Rabisha" displayed above her head appeared.
"Master… aren’t you kinda sparkling?"
"… Yeah. If we scatter this, monsters supposedly won’t come near."
Indeed, Rosarin-sama was literally shining. She handed a bag to Rabisha.
"Ugh. This is Sacred Tree Crystal, isn’t it?"
Sacred. Tree. Crystal!?!?!
I wanted to scream. Barely held it in.
"What’s that?"
You don’t know!? You’re way too unbalanced, Rosarin-sama!!
"It’s a super rare material. It repels monsters, so it’s always used in major facilities. With this much, you could build three Rosenberg mansions."
I don’t know how big the Rosenberg mansion is, but if she sold this secretly, she’d make way more money.
"…………"
"What should we do?"
"Use it."
"You serious!?"
Seriously!? She didn’t even hesitate!! What a waste!!
"Yeah, I’m serious. I can’t leave Kou and the others stationed everywhere forever, so it can’t be helped."
"Master, you’re…"
"A soft-hearted fool. Let’s just spread it already."
I thought to myself—this person truly has a pure heart.
Looking around, I saw people praying and even shedding tears.
I also saw a group of overly muscular people whispering "Muscle Rosarin," which I wanted to forget immediately.
A little while later, the four who had been massacring most of the monsters regrouped.
"Rosarin, I was worried! Yggdrasil was glowing intensely, and… why are you sparkling? I mean, you’re always beautiful, but…"
Rosarin-sama was still literally shining. This wasn’t a romanticized perception; it was a physical fact.
Seeing Dirk-dono’s relatively normal reaction was a relief.
"Dirk, thank you for your hard work. Yggdrasil-san did this to me, so I’m just glowing. More importantly, I’m glad to see you’re not injured."
"Yeah."
Watching Rosarin-sama snuggle up to Dirk, I realized—the brutal battle… that was supposed to happen… had come to an end.
And so, Rosarin-sama and her companions returned triumphantly to Wolfanea’s royal capital.
In the end, I don’t care when—someone, please, tell me where the truth starts and ends in all of this.
What do you think about this chapter?
