New Vein of Ore
We proceeded cautiously, one step at a time.
Given the earlier appearance of the Jewel Lizard, there was a strong possibility that more monsters lurked ahead. While having Amira keep checking for mana ore, we also had to rely on her to stay alert for any monster presence. I figured it would be quite a burden on her, so I tried suggesting a break at some point, but—
“No problem! I can still keep going!”
There wasn’t a hint of fatigue on Amira’s face.
Despite having already used illumination, detection, ice, and fire magic, her mana reserves remained abundant. She truly had inexhaustible stamina. No wonder the ducal McCreed family had taken an interest in her at such a young age.
The other knights’ views of Amira were clearly shifting as well.
At first, they treated her a bit like a mascot. But now, recognizing her high potential as a magic-user, they had come to see her as a comrade to fight alongside—meaning, they had begun to rely on her strength in a good way.
About thirty minutes had passed since we began pressing deeper into the tunnel.
“Ah.”
Amira suddenly let out a voice.
“Did you find something?”
“Yes… it’s close. There’s mana ore nearby.”
“R-Really!?”
Gary shouted with excitement.
Elina followed, her voice full of energy, saying, “We’ve finally found it!”
Full of anticipation, we eagerly continued forward—until at last, we arrived at the location.
Unlike everything we’d seen up to this point, this area had a high ceiling and was significantly wider. No matter who looked at it, it was clear that “something was different” here.
“Amira, can you make the light a bit brighter?”
“Easy!”
I asked Amira to expand the range of her illumination magic so we could take in the whole space.
Responding to the request, she converted her mana into light and released it into the surroundings. The glowing orb she conjured, small enough to rest in her hand, was like a tiny sun.
The orb flew up toward the tall ceiling and hovered midair.
Immediately, its brightness increased to illuminate the entire area.
Once we could clearly see the space around us—

We couldn’t help but let out cries of awe.
Because right before our eyes lay the sight we had been hoping for—an uncountable number of mana ores glittering all around.
