The Young Magician
A highly skilled magician sent by the McCreed family.
From what I’d heard, I had imagined someone radiating strength—an imposing figure with a powerful aura.
But… to think it would turn out to be such a sweet-looking little girl.
That said, the name “Glaberson” did ring a bell.
A prestigious lineage that had produced many talented magicians, including high-ranking officers in the Magic Corps.
If I recall correctly, someone from the Glaberson family still held a top position.
If she really was from that family, then she must be exceptionally gifted.
“Pleased to meet you!”
Amira gave a sharp little bow with a proud “Hmph” from her nose.
… Is she really the one?
I glanced toward Elina to get her thoughts, but—
“I’ve… always wanted a little sister.”
Yeah, no good.
She’s already fully onboard.
Well, from the way Amira talked, she didn’t seem like a bad kid.
The issue was her actual ability.
I had no intention of doubting the McCreed family, but no matter how I looked at her, I just couldn’t believe this girl was a top-class magician.
“U-uh… Amira?”
“Yes!”
“I’d like to see your magic, if that’s okay?”
“Leave it to me!”
Saying that, Amira raised her hand.
There was nothing there at first, but the next moment, I felt a faint surge of mana from her—and then, suddenly, she was holding a large, ornate staff that seemed far too extravagant for her small frame.
“A-A magician’s staff!”
That excited outburst came from Parker.
Looks like it was his first time seeing magic.
Eyes wide with wonder, he was completely absorbed in Amira’s every move.
I was a knight, so I didn’t know much about magic… but even so, just watching her steadily rising intensity gave me chills.
What shocked me most was the sheer volume of her mana.
It was so overwhelming that even Elina, who had been all giddy about how “cute” she was, suddenly went stone-faced.
Even a layman like me could tell this wasn’t normal.
“Senior… this is kind of insane, isn’t it?”
“Yeah… seriously insane.”
Her mana was enough to make us lose our vocabulary.
It seemed like she was about to transform it into flame, but I suddenly realized—if she actually let it loose, we might all be reduced to ash.
“W-we got it! That’s enough! I understand now!”
“Huh? Already?”
“Y-yeah. I’ve seen more than enough to know how incredible you are.”
“I’m glad to hear that!”
Amira gave a cheerful smile.
She looked just like an angel—
—but the power she hid within was truly monstrous.
The McCreed family sure sent us one hell of a person.
