Distribution
And then.
The day of the distribution arrived.
At a certain social party.
Elegant guests had gathered at a party venue in the Secondary Capital.
The sound of chatting mixed together with faint music.
In one corner of the venue, a small table had been set up.
On top of it sat neatly arranged little glass bottles.
They had been prepared as gifts for the attending ladies.
“What are these…?”
One noblewoman showed interest in the glass bottles.
“These are skincare cosmetics provided by the Maryne Company. They are being distributed free of charge today, so please take them with you when you leave.”
The female host explained this to the guests.
She also explained that the instructions for how to use the cosmetics and the proper order of application were all written in the enclosed guidebook.
And that the guidebook also contained the contact information for the Maryne Company.
“All this being handed out for free… how generous.”
“Aren’t they just cheap products?”
“But the glass bottles are beautiful! They hardly look like containers for skincare products.”
“…… Well, since they’re giving them away, perhaps trying them wouldn’t hurt.”
There were skeptical voices as well…
But thanks to the beauty of the package design, many ladies ended up taking the glass bottles home.
---
Several days later.
Morning.
Maryne entered the office room of the company headquarters.
Asha hurried over to her in a fluster.
“Lady Maryne! Letters! We’ve received so many since this morning!”
Asha’s arms were full of sealed letters closed with wax stamps.
“How many?”
“Eight so far. But more may still arrive.”
Maryne sat down in the office chair and opened them one by one.
The first letter.
“To the head of the Maryne Company. I used the skincare products I received at the Secondary Capital party for three days. To be completely honest, I am astonished! My skin felt entirely different the next morning. I would very much like to purchase the official product, what procedures would I need to follow?”
It was from the wife of a viscount.
The second letter.
“To Lady Maryne Flamsteed. After trying the cosmetics, my husband complimented my skin. It has been so long since such a thing happened. I would love to continue using them…!”
It was from the wife of a margrave.
The third letter.
“I do not care about the price. Please, somehow sell me those cosmetics. I never imagined even a single sample use could make my skin this beautiful!”
It was from the daughter of a knight.
Every single letter was filled with praise.
Their skin had changed.
It had become clearer.
They had become more beautiful.
Their husbands had complimented them.
Looking in the mirror had become enjoyable again.
The ladies’ excitement overflowed from the words on the page.
Even more letters arrived in the following days.
And not only from the women who had received the samples.
Letters had started arriving from other noblewomen who had heard about them from those women.
“I was astonished after seeing my friend’s skin. Might you please sell some to me as well…?”
Word of mouth among high society.
Several more days passed.
The letters increased day by day, eventually surpassing thirty.
Maryne personally wrote replies to every single one.
Carefully, one by one.
“Thank you very much for your letter. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed our company’s cosmetics. We will soon be opening a skincare specialty store in the Secondary Capital, so we would be honored if you visited.”
She wrote replies to every single letter with sincere care for each individual recipient.
