Akari (4)
When I turned to Hiiro, he let out a deep sigh without bothering to hide his grimace.
He sat down on the sofa. Akemi and I sat side by side, while Hiiro sat across from us.
"Sai's real name is Sousou. His memory has been erased, and he doesn’t remember it."
"Sousou?"
Hiiro wrote the name "Sousou" on a piece of paper. Akemi and I exchanged glances.
The character for "sou" is a mark of the firstborn of the Imperial royal family.
The dignity I sensed in him wasn’t a mistake.
"Prince Sousou suggested that I report this only to you, Akemi. But I didn’t."
"He has no memory?"
"None at all."
"Then how did you find out?"
"When I destroyed the device in his head, he muttered the name unconsciously. He doesn’t remember muttering it."
"It’s a bit late, but I appreciate you reporting it yourself. Thank you."
"Not at all."
As Hiiro turned to look at me, I decided to step out for a moment.
"I'm going to wash my face."
When I removed the simple, plain-looking makeup, my striking beauty, inherited from my father, became apparent.
After applying lotion and moisturizer, I returned to find Hiiro already gone.
"Oh my, he left already?”
"Welcome back, my princess."
Akemi ignored my words and hugged me tightly.
Enjoying the closeness, I remembered something and spoke up.
"We met the princess of the Sanjou family on the way. She said she was breaking her engagement with Lord Sekitora and proposing to get engaged to Hiiro."
"Really? And what did Hiiro say?"
Akemi's face lit up with interest.
"He told her that he already has a common-law wife."
"Hiiro and his situation are complicated right now. Let’s handle this ourselves."
I laughed a little. Akemi was always so sweet on Hiiro.
He looked at me, wondering why I was laughing, and I silenced him with a gentle kiss.
His smile was so lovely.
"I love you."
If you ever feel like kissing someone, Rikimaru or Naruhito, let me know.
I'll teach you the name of that emotion.
