“Excuse me!”
As Otoha and I were cleaning the hallway, a loud voice echoed from the entrance.
If I remember correctly, everyone who came had rung the bell until now.
“Yes, I will be right there.”
I faintly heard the reply from one of the maids.
Otoha and I were cleaning the farthest part of the mansion, so the voice from the entrance shouldn’t be easily audible.
“Is our cute Ikumatsu here? Please tell him his foster father came.”
Yeah, I can hear it.
It seems like a really loud voice. And, I don’t think Ikumatsu is cute.
“That must be Uncle Kujou. Ikumatsu went out, I believe.”
Otoha stood up with a mop in her hand. I knew Ikumatsu was out, so I nodded.
“It will be difficult for the docile Murakano to deal with him, so I will go over.”
Yeah.
I handed the dust-cloth to Otoha. I can only use my right hand, so using a wiping cloth is all I can do. I can’t clean alone.
“Naru, you stay in the room. Make sure to drink water properly.”
While nodding, Otoha hurried to the entrance.
“Oh~ isn’t this Princess Otoha, you have become even more beautiful. Congratulations on your marriage!”
The voice of the person called Uncle Kujou was really loud. Since I usually only see specific people, it was somewhat unusual and interesting, so I kept listening to it in the hallway.
“He’s out? Oh, I see. Yesterday, it was announced that he passed the exam, so today is the license issuance procedure, I see. Ah, truly auspicious. I’m proud to have a talented son. I thought of celebrating together, so I brought some sake. It’s a double celebration with Lord Hitachimaru and Princess Otoha’s marriage!”
Ikumatsu worked hard and passed the exam he had been studying for. Many people took the test, but there were only two successful candidates. Ikumatsu is really amazing. Uncle Kujou’s joy is understandable!
“But, Uncle, we can’t prepare a feast on such short notice.”
“Princess, it doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. A regular meal is fine. At this age, this old man just wants an excuse to drink.”
Ga-ha-ha, he laughed.
He has a laughter that’s enjoyable to listen to.

I was near Hiiro’s workroom hallway, so I quickly entered my room before being seen.
