The day before the entrance ceremony.
After finishing our French toasts, we were stopped by Teacher Neil who wanted to explain about tomorrow’s entrance ceremony.
We had no choice but to stay in the cafeteria and wait for Teacher Neil to finish his meal while Miria made us some tea.

During the meal, I watched Teacher as he gulped the food all down in a flash and rushed to get more while saying things like, “I can’t believe how soft the bread is. Wow… delicious, this is delicious!” and “How can this soup be so clear and yet have such complex flavors⁉︎”
To be honest, I was happy to hear that it was delicious. However, I want to hear about the entrance ceremony that’s coming up tomorrow…!

As a person who is currently forced to stay in a special dormitory to avoid the curious eyes of the students, I want to know what’s going on in the academy as soon as possible, and I want to be able to see my Oniisama and Mariel-chan without any constraints.
Both of them have been informed by Mrs. Dora through Miria that they won’t be allowed to visit until the entrance ceremony so that the other students (mainly nobles) won’t know that I’m here.
If Oniisama was coming in and out of this place, wouldn’t people make assumptions that since I hadn’t been admitted to the girls’ dormitory yet, wasn’t I perhaps staying in the special dormitory?… That would mean that I am a Sacred Beast contractor! Some people might realize that… No, I think they already know.
I mean, I’m sure there were a lot of witnesses to the fact that I came in a carriage with my Oniisama on the dormitory-entry day, and there were many witnesses even when Teacher Neil found me.

I’m sure my Oniisama can handle the scrutiny of those around him without difficulty. But that’s not the case with Mariel-chan.
We can’t be sure that she won’t be forcibly questioned by higher-ranking nobles or senior students since she’s a daughter of a Baron.
I guess they are trying to prevent strange rumors from spreading around the dormitories before the entrance ceremony.

“Fuh… that was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Well, shall we talk about tomorrow then?”

Teacher Neil who seemed to have finally had his fill, received a cup of tea from Miria and began talking with a smile.

“It’s finally the entrance ceremony tomorrow. You guys will be together with other students… is what I would like to say, but that’s not going to happen. We have different seats prepared for you guys.”
“Eh… why is that?”

If possible, a discreet seat at the back of the other students would be the best, but I have a bad feeling about this.

“We haven’t had any Sacred Beast contractors or Magic Beast contractors for a long time, and many of the current students don’t understand what having a contract with Sacred Beast really means, let alone the research students and teachers who have been at the school for a long time.”

It’s true that it’s not easy to make a contract with a Sacred Beast, as evidenced by the fact that Teacher Marlen and Teacher Neil were unable to make a contract or even meet a Sacred Beast, even though they worked so hard for so many years.

“That’s why we have decided to introduce you to the attendees of the ceremony, so that they won’t mess with you and get into trouble.”

Hearing the bombshell Teacher Neil dropped, Sei and I both shouted at the same time.

“I, introduce… just what do you…?”
“N? It’s just going to go up on the stage and telling the students not to do anything weird to you, to the Sacred Beast contractors.”
