The ultimate full course.
Thanks to Rosie-kun and Valkyrie’s efforts, the guests’ memories had been overwritten—from the cruel "Sabotage Angel’s Descent" to a "Magical Girl Ossan and an Exhibitionist’s Crash Party + Crazy Dance." Thank you, Rosie-kun. Thank you, Valkyrie. The guests may now have the vacant eyes of dead fish, but let’s chalk it up to a noble sacrifice.

"So, what now?"

"We’ll fabricate the story up to the point where we apprehended the crazy dance crew, then proceed with the ring exchange as normal. Since the reception will have an even bigger impact, the crazy dance will seem trivial in comparison."

"Eeeh…? What kind of impact could possibly make that look trivial? I’m scared…"

It’s not the kind of negative impact Rosie-kun is imagining. I think it’s a good kind of impact.

"It’s nothing bad, trust me."

"Hmm…"

Rosie-kun wasn’t convincing, but we headed to the reception hall anyway. The venue was the Saintya Grand Conference Room, and the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was already… otherworldly.

"Okaasan I’m sacred.”

"Ah, I’ll protect you, my lord!"

Everyone was eating like possessed souls, completely absorbed in their meals. Not that I could blame them—they probably didn’t even have time to spare for compliments. They might not have even noticed us entering after our outfit change. That’s how unbelievably delicious Dan’s full-course meal was.

Having eaten Dan’s cooking relatively often, I was barely holding onto my sanity—but even then, the blissful flavors melting on my tongue were making my face slacken. What is this?! Too good!!

Beams of light, rainbows, whatever—no one cared if they started shooting out of the guests’ every orifice. It was terrifying.

This "full course" was a completely new dining style for our world. Normally, we’d have an appetizer → soup → main dish at best. Dessert wasn’t even a common habit, and mains were usually just one plate.

But Dan’s full course?

Appetizer → Soup → Fish Dish → Meat Dish (non-roast) → Sorbet → Roast Meat → Fresh Veggies → Sweets → Fruit → Coffee + Petit Fours

Luxurious ingredients. Recipes crafted by the world’s greatest chef. The pinnacle of extravagance, realized right here.

Even royalty and nobility rarely got to taste something like this. According to Head Chef of Christia castle, one serving could bankrupt a small nation’s budget. (Though in reality, since we hunted or grew most of it, it was practically free… or so I thought, before getting scolded for my ignorance.)

But when I mentioned "We’re inviting you," he did a complete 180°—even groveling to be hired, even if just short-term. And now, he’s actually working part-time for us. Is this okay?! The greatest chef in the country, working as a temp?!

Dan just grinned. "I’m learning a lot, so it’s fine."

… At this rate, we might end up hosting a ramen party at Christia’s royal castle. The dissonance is killing meeeee!!

Anyway, back to reality—this food is insane.

We’re still on the appetizer, and I already never want to swallow. The shrimp’s umami is divine. The pre-meal sweet wine and homemade wine? Perfect. (I only took a sip—any more and I’d be drunk.)

And the wine pairs perfectly with this cheese! Tomato + cheese = justice! Even the flower-themed plating is gorgeous.

The soup was light, almost like a clear osuimono… but served in a Western-style bowl. Too delicious to care. Apparently, this was a Japanese-Western fusion full course.

Tiny temari fu (flower-shaped wheat gluten), carrots carved like roses, daikon—no, winter melon? Whatever, it’s delicious.

We didn’t plan any entertainment for the reception, and that was the right call. Everyone’s too absorbed in the food to even chat. Meaning Dan’s cooking is just that abnormal. The guests who had dead-fish eyes earlier are now glowing.

The fish dish was… tuna. Sashimi, carpaccio, and steak—three styles. Plus rice.

You could choose from:
- Takikomi (seasoned rice)
- Plain white rice
- Salted onigiri
- Multigrain rice

I went with "a little of everything."

White rice + sashimi = justice!! This tuna melts in your mouth!! Mixing it with rice creates a symphony of happiness, AAAAAHHH!!!

The salted onigiri is perfectly balanced. The takikomi rice is rich with dashi and packed with ingredients. Even the multigrain is amazing.

"Rosarin’s cooking is great too… but this is something else."

Even Dirk looked dazed. Well, comparing a regular car to an Formula 1 car isn’t fair. This is artisan-level skill. The tuna is arranged like roses, and the sashimi garnishes are literal artwork.

For those unused to raw fish, Dan even provides explanations—or lightly grills it for them if needed. So considerate.

Next up: meat. What’s coming? Dan kept the full menu a secret, saying he wanted to surprise me.

Steak.

Steak and rice… PERFECTION. The meat’s juices, the rice absorbing it all—a freaking umami orchestra, AHHHH!! The sauce, the meat, the rice… UNREAL.

The palate-cleansing sorbet (refreshing lemon) confused some guests—"Dessert already?"—but one bite in, their faces melted into bliss.

Then came the roast meat. Juicy. Tender. You could swallow it without chewing—but chew anyway!!

Then, an announcement:

"Normally, the next course would be fruit, but since this is a wedding, we’ve prepared something special. Bride and groom, please step to the center."

Dirk and I exchanged a nod and walked forward. Dan, grinning, brought out… a magnificent wedding cake.

"Packed with strawberries—Ojousama’s favorite. Eat as much as you want!"

"Wha—AAAAHHH!!"

I love all fruit, but strawberries are my weakness. And a special cake made by Dan? Of course it’s heavenly.

We cut the cake together and fed each other a bite. My brother (the MC) explained the meaning—"Cutting the cake symbolizes working together as a couple. Feeding each other means, ‘I’ll cook for you’ and ‘I’ll provide for you.’"

(Not that we haven’t done plenty already, but still.)

And of course, the cake tasted like pure happiness. The cream…! The strawberries were sweet and perfect, but the cream and sponge—

A treasure chest of bliss, AAAAAHHHH!!!

At this point, I was fully satisfied. All the awful things that happened before? Totally worth it.

This cake is too good.
