“We’ve Taken Everything From You!” Is What They Said, But I’m Basically Unharmed. So What Am I Supposed to Do? Should I Pretend to be Sad to Satisfy Them?

—----------
Julius had been accompanying the Hero’s Party as their “baggage carrier and errand boy.”

In the middle of reporting their safe return to the royal capital, he was suddenly hit with a declaration of expulsion from the Hero’s Party!?

On top of that, all of his fiancées had been stolen from him.

And at the same time, the kingdom’s army was marching on his homeland, the South territory!!

But this wasn’t some expulsion scheme orchestrated by the kingdom and the Hero’s Party.

It was a one-way ticket to hell, personally delivered by Julius to those who knew nothing.

“Alright then… allow me to escort the royal entourage straight to hell~ Go on, try and surpass my scenario, dear kingdom!!!!”
—-------------
Sudden Declaration of Expulsion
“Julius, eldest son of the South Margrave House, I hereby expel you from the Hero’s Party.”

A sudden declaration of expulsion…

Prince Erason of the Titania Kingdom, the crown prince and a member of the Hero’s Party, a [Holy Knight], pointed a finger straight at me.

A handsome guy with blond hair and blue eyes.

He looked slender, but his body was well-trained, packed with solid muscle. A soft-macho type.

“Yeah. He hasn’t been particularly useful anyway.”

The one agreeing with Prince Erason was the current [Hero] himself.

Waltz, eldest son of the Harmetz Marquis House.

This one had brown hair and crimson eyes, a gentle-looking pretty boy.

“That’s right. I think that’s for the best.”

Following that came the words of Elizabeth, [Archer] of the Hero’s Party, a master of the Titania-style archery school, the second princess of this kingdom, and my first fiancée.

She was Prince Erason’s half-sister, born of a concubine.

Blonde hair in drill curls, the very image of a princess, glaring with strong-willed blue eyes.

A straight-up-and-down figure, stonk, just like that.

A beautiful girl who looked like she could pull off the perfect tsundere act.

In this Titania Kingdom, due to long years of war and plague, men were in extremely short supply, so high-ranking nobles were obligated to have multiple fiancées.

“Mmm~ sureee~”

This constantly sleepy-looking girl was my second fiancée, Milian, the third daughter of the Gulf Duke House, and also the [Mage] of the Hero’s Party.

Purple hair, purple eyes, and a figure like dynamite.

Another well-featured beauty.

“Everyone, please reconsider!”

The only one opposing them was my third fiancée, Almeria, eldest daughter of Viscount Zanger, a vassal of the Margrave House, and also a [Saintess]. She was my childhood friend, too.

Pink hair, pink eyes, with a gentle aura, and yeah, another bomber-class figure.

A beautiful girl practically overflowing with saintly, motherly warmth.

And so, the one currently under attack… was me.

Julius, eldest son of the South Margrave House. Black hair, black eyes, a reincarnated former Japanese guy.

In the Hero’s Party, I’d been given the role of “baggage carrier and general errand boy.”

And we were all eighteen-year-old classmates at the Royal Academy.

I mean, normally, this kind of thing happens in some tavern attached to an Adventurers’ Guild, reeking of booze and sweaty men, right?

As a reincarnator, this just felt completely off.

Because right now, we were in the royal castle of the Titania Kingdom, the largest nation on the continent, and we were literally in the middle of an audience.

How many nobles are even here? That’s how many were lined up.

And on top of that, we were in the middle of reporting the successful subjugation of an Orthrus that had appeared nearby.

Read the room, I’d been thinking.

“And what is the meaning of this?”

A king, no matter how you looked at him.

King Jimetz, the twenty-sixth ruler of the Titania Kingdom.

The crown and red mantle made it obvious.

The Hero’s Party, everyone except me, was explaining my uselessness to the king and the surrounding nobles.

Only Almeria looked flustered.

Also present were some pretty big names: Grandmasters from various guilds, presidents of famous merchant companies, adventurers and mercenary clan masters, even ambassadors from other nations.

The crown prince and the Hero, the top two, stepped up to my sides and placed their hands on my shoulders.

“We’ve taken what you held dear. Those guys were delicious. Too bad for you. Things are about to get rough in that backwater frontier of yours too. Hope you get to see your family again safely…”

… Ahh, I see.

So the goal is to humiliate me in front of a crowd?

Weaken the Margrave House?

Break off the engagements?

Given the scale of this, a lot of noble houses, and the royal family, were involved.

As I was connecting the dots…

“I understand. I hereby declare Julius expelled from the Hero’s Party! Furthermore, the engagements with my daughter Elizabeth, Milian of the Gulf Duke House, and Almeria of the Zanger Viscount House are annulled!”

With King Jimetz’s declaration, I suddenly became single.

“Ohhh!”
“As expected of King Jimetz!”
“The Margrave House is finished!”
“Gahahaha!”
“We’ll have to reconsider our associations…”

The hall shook with a mix of jeers and cheers.

Human voices really do have some power, huh… I found myself thinking.

“Wahaha! Too bad, Julius. I’ll be taking Milian and Almeria. They’re already my women now, anyway. Go crawl back to the frontier. You country bumpkin, hope that countryside of yours doesn’t disappear.”

Prince Erason laughed loudly as he declared it.

“Well, that’s how it is. Princess Elizabeth suits me, the Hero. I never liked you anyway.”

Hero Waltz doubled over, laughing hysterically.

“That’s right. I had no intention of going to the countryside from the royal capital in the first place. And it smells poor…”

Elizabeth covered her mouth with a fan, smiling broadly. “Ohoho.”

“Mmm~ the frontier sounds like a pain.”

Milian rubbed her sleepy eyes as she muttered.

“Umm, well… Julius, I’m sorry.”

Almeria lowered her pink-haired head, apologizing, unable to look up.

The entire hall had descended into contempt and mockery toward Julius, completely out of control…

“Ahahahahahaha… my stomach hurts. This is way too predictable. And those faces you were making while looking at me, hilarious. That smug look, lined up like that, has some serious impact. Ahahahahahaha…!”

Julius rolled around on the red carpet, laughing so hard he could barely breathe.

Even with everyone’s eyes on him, he just couldn’t stop laughing.

“Okay, okay, I get it. King Jimetz, Julius von South accepts this with due respect. With this many witnesses, and even people from other countries present, there’s no overturning it now!”

Placing his right hand over his chest and his left at his waist, Julius gave a deep, formal bow.

It was such a beautifully executed bow that everyone could only stare, captivated.
