New Product Production System
Next, she had the patissiers sample it too.
She lined up puddings in front of the confectioners gathered in the kitchen.
“Everyone. This is a prototype of our new product. Please, give it a taste.”
The patissiers picked up their spoons.
One bite.
The kitchen erupted.
“Wha…!?”
“Eh…!?”
“No way…”
The patissiers let out shocked voices.
They all started talking at once.
“Wh-what is this…!!”
“It’s completely different from macarons.”
“A sweet like this can exist…!? How can an eight-year-old child make something like this…?”
“That black sauce on top is exquisite…!”
“I can’t believe it…”
Professional confectioners were being genuinely shaken to their core.
One patissier asked her,
“Lady Maryne… just what is going on inside your head?”
Maryne smiled sweetly and answered.
“That’s a secret!”
The mass-production system for pudding was also set up immediately.
Their experience with macarons was paying off.
First, in addition to the existing patissiers, they hired new ones.
Then they taught the patissiers the method…
Had them enter magical contracts…
And established the production process.
Just like with the macarons, all of that was completed in around four days.
Maryne made one more move as well.
At the three macaron shops, she had the clerks tell customers this:
“Dear customers, a brand-new sweet will be arriving very soon! A completely different kind of dessert from macarons, a melt-in-your-mouth, entirely new sensation! Its name is Pudding!”
The staff advertised it to the customers who came to buy macarons.
More than a thousand customers visited the shops every day.
That meant every single one of them heard about pudding.
(The customers who come for macarons are already looking forward to whatever I create next. Telling those people about the new product beforehand, this is the most effective advertising possible.)
The customers reacted immediately.
“Pudding? I wonder what kind of sweet it is.”
“A new product? If it’s as good as those macarons, I’ve got high hopes!”
“When does it go on sale? I’m definitely coming to buy some!”
The shop buzzed with excitement.
They had only announced it verbally, yet the response was enormous.
Yumia was amazed.
“Incredible… Just promoting it at the storefront got the customers this fired up.”
“The popularity we built with macarons is doing its work.”
And Maryne thought this was the crucial moment.
At the current stage, after selling only macarons, the customers did not necessarily love the Maryne Company yet.
They simply loved macarons.
To win firm fans of the company itself, they needed one more hit product.
If pudding became a hit right after macarons…
Then the customers would come to love the Maryne Company brand itself, becoming loyal fans no matter what.
