Completion of Adventurer Gear
On the final day at the academy, during our reading and language class, Teacher Paul announced my graduation, and the room filled with as many surprised voices as congratulations.
“I never thought Vio would get ahead of me.”
“I’ve gotten used to gathering herbs too. Once I register as an adventurer next year, I’m hitting Bronze rank as fast as possible!”
“Vio… you’re not coming anymore?”
Nachi will probably reach Bronze rank next month, and Tony can’t even register yet, so he looked really frustrated.
Hachi, who sat next to me, clutched my sleeve and looked up at me with teary eyes.
What am I supposed to do? This feels like he’s whining at me… kyuun, kuun.
And Ren, who always reacts the most in situations like this, had his head buried in his desk.
“Hachi, I’m graduating from the academy since I reached Bronze rank, so I won’t be coming to classes anymore. But I still have a lot to learn, so I’ll come to the guild to study.
I’ll keep doing book study in Mimi’s reference room, and I plan to come do special training at the training grounds in the afternoons too. So… so, Ren, let’s train together at the training grounds sometimes, okay? I’m planning to join herb gathering on Holy Day now and then too, alright?”
The tail that had been tightly wrapped around my right arm loosened and started smacking against my thigh. Seriously, complaining this much without saying a word, isn’t that unfair?
“You better! Once I register as an adventurer, I’ll hit Bronze rank as fast as possible too. Then I’ll go on subjugation with you. I ain’t losin’ to you!”
“Hehe, by the time you reach Bronze rank, I’ll probably be Silver rank. I’m not going to let you catch up so easily either.”
Getting a two-year head start and then being overtaken instantly? No way, that’d be way too lame. They say getting to Silver White isn’t that hard, so I at least want to reach that point.
In magic class, starting next time Dad won’t be there anymore, so the two teachers and Teacher Ariana will be working hard as a trio on adjusting mana for making karuta.
Dad and I had already prepared a huge amount of square timber and pre-polished materials, and we’re planning to keep delivering those materials, so it should be fine.

“Now then, go on, put on your masterpiece and show us!”
That afternoon after the academy ended, I went to Lilium’s shop.
Run had told me that my adventurer gear was finished, and they asked me to come by today.
Milina was there too, happily holding a bag that probably had my boots inside.
“Oh my, Vio, welcome.
You came right away. This time, we made it based on a design packed full of both your wishes.
I adjusted it so it won’t hinder your movement and is easy to wear. I’d be happy if you tell us honestly how it feels.”
I hadn’t made any specific requests for the clothes or the shoes.
All the clothes I’d had made since coming to Samania Village were completely left up to them, and honestly, I don’t really understand fashion anyway.
I only told them about the whip belt and that I carry twin swords on my back, but since Dad specifically ordered “adventurer gear,” it probably wouldn’t be all frilly and decorative.
“Alright, first, change into these.”
Led into the fitting room by Lilium, I was handed several pieces of clothing. For a “first,” isn’t this kind of a lot?
Since today wasn’t martial training, I was wearing a one-piece dress, short socks, and flat shoes like loafers with ribbons.
With Lilium helping, I was down to just my underwear in no time. Well, we’re both women, so it’s not embarrassing. I already got used to this kind of thing during the last dress-up frenzy.
“First, put on these tights. They’re made from magic insect thread, so they won’t tear easily.
Then these short pants. You don’t need upper undergarments yet, so put on this inner layer, then wear this shirt over it.
This also has blade-resistant properties, and it has magic circle embroidery, so it regulates temperature, you can handle some heat and cold. Then just put this vest over it and you’re done♪”
As she handed me the clothes one after another, I was shocked hearing their effects.
I thought they’d just make normal clothes that looked like adventurer gear since I don’t need armor, but… with all these effects, isn’t this basically armor?
The deep green tights were soft and really comfortable. They looked a bit big at first, but once I put them on, they fit snugly to my legs.
The inner layer was a black sleeveless high-neck shirt, and the shorts were the same black, no, maybe a really dark brown?
The outer shirt was white. The sleeves were snug at the wrists, and from the shoulders to the sleeves it had a slightly puffy looseness, cute. The torso part fit tightly, so even when I twisted or bent forward, it didn’t get in the way.
After tucking in the shirt, I was told to put on the whip belt and sword belt, and once I did, they dressed me in a navy vest over it.
The vest had fine gold embroidery, which must be the magic circles she mentioned earlier.
“Mhm, mhm, adorable. With this style, these boots will work.”
After Lilium circled around me to check everything, she handed me long boots, so I put them on. When they were just sitting there, they looked big enough to slip on like rain boots even with the laces tied, but the moment I put them on, they fit snugly to my legs as if they were sticking to them.
“All set? Now, come out and show us!”
I heard Milina’s voice from beyond the curtain, so I stepped out and showed myself to everyone. What do you think?
I spread my arms and slowly turned around so they could see everything.
“Does anything feel hard to move in?”
The designer, Landa, asked anxiously, so I squatted, jumped, bent forward and backward, twisted, showing all kinds of movements on the spot.
Even moving this much, the shirt didn’t come untucked, and nothing felt restrictive. That’s amazing.
“It feels like all the clothes are clinging to me, I don’t even feel like I’m wearing anything. The shoes are really light too, and it’s easy to move!”
When I gave my honest impression, both Landa and Milina smiled happily.
But that was just the first outfit. There were still two more waiting.
The second one was a skirt-type outfit, named “Village Girl, First Outing with Dad.”
By the way, the first shorts-style outfit was called “Heart-Pounding, Exciting First Adventure.”
The skirt-type outfit had a country-style shirt with a slightly open collar and small floral embroidery around the neckline, so the inner layer was a tank top that wouldn’t show.
Instead of a vest, I wore something like a brown corset over the shirt… but is this really necessary?
For adult women, I guess it supports the chest and gives a bit of a “wow” effect, but I’m five and completely flat, so it kind of just looks like a belly warmer.
The skirt was moss green and knee-length, and the tights were white. In terms of style, it’s a long skirt down to the ankles in this village, but I’ve seen similar outfits on married women around here.
It’s probably a common style in this country.
Of course, just like the first outfit, it had various effects built in.
Even the corset, which totally looks like a belly wrap, had magic circle embroidery like the vest, so there’s no reason not to wear it.
“Short boots would be cuter with this.”
“Long ones give a different feel, but… yes, short boots with visible tights are definitely cuter.”
After changing, I had to switch boots and show them again.
Dad said both looked cute, but by majority vote between Lilium and Milina, short boots were chosen for the skirt outfit.
Maybe because of the “village girl” theme, I didn’t carry daggers and only wore the whip like a belt, while the daggers were strapped to my thighs with leather belts, honestly, it made me feel like that world-famous phantom thief’s partner. You know, that “ahh~♡” type. My excitement shot up.
And finally, the third outfit was called “Adventurer’s Daughter, Growing Strong.”
I really want to know which of the three came up with these names.
Unlike the previous two, this one was a full stealth style.
They said I could use either of the previous tights, but that made sense, the third outfit had black long pants.
The top was a tight high-neck shirt with a slightly sheer look overall, with silver thread patterns across the abdomen, so only the décolletage and arms looked slightly see-through.
Even then, since it’s black fabric, it’s not that noticeable.
And the outerwear they gave me was also near-black, a sleeveless vest, but slightly longer, covering down to my hips, so in practice, only my arms showed any of that sheer fabric.
After wrapping the sword belt and whip belt over the vest and putting on the long boots, it was complete.
“Aaah, even in this sharp, cool style, Vio’s cuteness cancels it out.
With this outfit, I’d love to see high twin-tails… but a ponytail would be cute too.”
Because of the color-changing magic tool, I have to keep my hair tied in one place, though.
For reference, for the “town girl” look it’s a half-up style, and for the “first adventure” it’s a low ponytail, so even hairstyles are specified. (I doubt they’d get mad if I changed it, though.)
Milina and Lilium were getting really excited, Landa was checking the fit and asking if any adjustments were needed, and Dad was asking Landa about the magic circles in the equipment, the adults were all fired up.
This had to be expensive, but just like before, the payment was handled somewhere out of my sight. I’d only planned on getting one outfit, but I ended up with three, so I thanked Dad, Landa, Lilium, and Milina for making such wonderful gear.
Now I’m ready to debut as an adventurer anytime!
