Guild Card Completion
"Alrighty, should be done by now.”

While receiving guild explanations, the preparation had apparently finished.
When Mr. Taki opened the business card case-like device, there was a metal plate inside. The paper Dad wrote on was gone!
Had the paper transformed into metal? What kind of mechanism was this?

Taki took out the card and placed it where I could see clearly:

[Vio (Age: 5) Rank: Tin]

Extremely simple.
If I joined a party, the party name would apparently be added here.
I wonder if there are any chuunibyou-style party names? I'd like to research that.

"The front looks like this. The back shows your attributes... huh?"

Mr. Taki froze after flipping the card over. The back was filled with text - probably another reincarnation bonus?

[Attributes: Holy/Dark/Wood/Fire/Earth/Water/Wind]

Since Dad had also frozen, I patted his arm.
I understood this was probably special, but wanted to know how much we should hide it.

"Ah! Taki, scoot on over and let Guildmaster Zacks and Vice-Guildmaster Aslan know to mosey on down to the archives room later. Make sure to wait till we've skedaddled and things are back to normal around here. We've got an appointment to pore over some maps, so we'll be stickin' around for a spell."

“Understood. Then the registration is complete. Though the card's back can be concealed..."

"I'll tend to that tweak later on."

Dad stated firmly.
Watching their exchange, I decided to quietly follow along, understanding they were implementing safety measures despite being within village confines.

"Alrighty then! Now that we're all signed up, Vio, let's mosey on over to the archives and take a gander at those maps and herb materials."

Dad said cheerfully, scooping me up as Taki held the door.
Waving goodbye to Taki who fluttered his hand in response, no one would suspect anything unusual from this normal-looking registration completion.
I hadn't known Dad had such skills - silver rankers are impressive indeed.

Knock knock knock

"Come in~"

"Well, howdy there, Mimi! It's been a spell since we last caught up. This here's my daughter, Vio, fresh off the registration. We're lookin' to take a gander at some maps of the neighboring countries and any herbology materials you got stashed away."

"My, oh my~ If it isn't Alke! So long indeed~ Hello there~ I'm Mimi the guild clerk~ Vio, pleased to meet you~ Can I take you home with me~?"

The petite dog-eared sister (American Cocker Spaniel type, I believe, compared to Mr. Taki's Labrador features) patted my head as Dad set me down.

"Cut the shenanigans and set us up in a private room, will ya?"

“Yes, yes~ see you later, Vio~”

The archives occupied half the hallway opposite the registration area, with two large meeting rooms on the left for village gatherings.
The spacious archives held two private consultation rooms where six-person parties could confer.

"Wait here while I gather materials.”

Dad instructed, understanding the private room would be necessary when the guildmasters arrived.
The Guildmaster’s office was on the third f

As I waited, admiring what I imagined was the Guildmaster’s "secret base" on the third floor, Dad returned with books, scrolls and document bundles.

"This shows the Plessama Frontier territory map. Our village... ah, here. Samania Village."

The Plessama Frontier guards the Lizmoni Kingdom's borders, wedged between the Heracio Republic, Lusitania Empire, and Menekes Kingdom."

The map focused on the frontier with blank spaces beyond borders - being sandwiched between three nations seemed strategically precarious.

"Are there... bad people from other countries?"

I asked carefully, avoiding direct war references unbecoming of a five-year-old.

"Ah, our kingdom's protected by high mountains serving as natural borders. Flying monsters inhabit the peaks, and dragons dwell in the range between the Empire and Kingdom. Only limited mountain passes exist, attempting other routes would be perilous."

Dragons!? Actual dragons exist here!?
This world has dragons?
Wow~ My imagination soared. I wanna see! Could they speak? Take human form?

Next came an oversized horizontal map showing four major nations with smaller states in between, covering what appeared to be an entire continent's worth of territory.

"Dad, what map is this?"

"My my, I'd heard you were bright, but comprehending maps at your age? Remarkable."

Came an unfamiliar voice from above.
Looking up, I saw a stunning long-haired man(?) with golden reptilian eyes whose piercing gaze felt uncomfortably omniscient.

"Nice to meet you, Dad Alke’s daughter, Vio, five years old.”

"My, how polite. I'm Vice-Guildmaster Aslan. Snakefolk, 32 years old, single."

He reciprocated with amusement. Such a beauty still single, what a waste.

"What nonsensical introduction. You always say you don't need marriage since your species can reproduce alone."

The lion Guildmaster interjected after hearing the handsome bachelor’s introduction.
Solo reproduction!? Could snakes do that here, or was this an Earth capability too? Another research topic for later.
