Great Mage Eibon
And so, the battle began. The first to act was Master. The golem tank unleashed its full armament, but Eibon effortlessly put up a barrier to defend himself. However, the rocket launcher fired by Big brother and Master broke through the barrier. Eibon's mouth opened in astonishment, but then he was hit by the golem tank's fire and blown away. Master silently reloaded and fired again and again.
"What, wait!! What is that!? Stop it!!"
"Stay down!!"
"I recommend you surrender before you're blown to pieces."
It seems Eibon underestimated our strength. Big brothers' rocket launcher is indeed a threat, but we still have the woofers waiting outside the room. We can crush him with sheer numbers. Due to becoming a skeleton, his physical abilities must be as low as mine.
Now, I'll handle the Demon Lord in front of me. But first, I need to learn some new magic. Opportunities to learn demon magic are rare.
"Gugugu. Foolish girl, have you despaired? I shall make you my new vessel.
Dere Ustar Manus Geriya. Black Flame.”
"Decompression technique, Dispel."
The black flame approaching me was dismantled and vanished.
"Interesting magic. Dere Ustar Manus Geriya. Black Flame."
"Gugh? Are you a demon? How can you use demon magic?"
The Demon Lord hurriedly swung the large sword with chains and weights, cutting the Black Flame in half. Its power is considerable, but demon magic is less effective against other demons. Well, with the Light Spirit Armament deployed, he's not my enemy. True, the light spirit I'm contracted with isn't specialized in combat, and countering a Demon Lord requires a combat-focused, high-ranking light spirit. But with light spirit magic enhanced by the spirit armament, I can overpower it with sheer magical force. Clearly, I have the upper hand.
"You were the one who taught me."
"Gugugu, interesting. I shall fill your soul with despair.
Pal Solie Kuruku Deri Oltra Bizying. Black Lightning."
"Don't you understand it's useless? Decompression technique, Dispel."
Once used, it requires another incantation, but Dispel has a faster incantation speed than most demon magic, finishing before the Demon Lord can complete his spell. It's a stalemate. Although Dispel is a mana-inefficient spell.
The Demon Lord repeatedly attempted to use demon magic, which I nullified and then used the same demon magic back. The Demon Lord was visibly irritated. For a demon, being unable to overpower in a magic battle was a blow to his pride. Suddenly, he threw the chained weight at me. Determining I couldn't avoid it, I drew a jagged 1.5-meter-long blade called the Gale Broadsword with Quick Draw, held it with both hands, and swung it down at lightning speed.
"Ugh~~~!!"
I cut through the chain and weight with the jagged blade, but a dull sound echoed, and my right arm went limp. The Gale Broadsword, specialized for high-speed combat, is one of my best creations, but I still can't wield it properly. I abandoned the thought that my physical strength might have improved. It seems I can't expect my physical abilities to grow. I immediately used High Heal to heal my arm and called Mr. Coote.
"Come, Mr. Coote."
"Understood."
Indeed, Mr. Coote is my partner. I rode on his back to supplement my inadequate physical abilities. I didn't forget to secure myself with magic to avoid being thrown off.
"Gahaha. So fragile. Humans are as fragile as ever."
The demon laughed, convinced of his victory. But I'm skilled in self-sacrificial, kamikaze attacks, right? An arm can be healed quickly. Weapons I can't fully wield due to my physical limitations can still be used once. He doesn't understand that having healed, I can repeat the attack.
This time, I drew a revolver. Now, let's test its physical strength. Will this work?
"Take this.”
"GYAAAAAA. Haha, such admirable defiance. I commend you. Now, despair. Embrace me."
"That's disgusting, no thanks."
"I too resist serving a master with such vulgarity alongside that thing. It lacks the elegance that befits me. The same can be said for the lizard-like creature, though..."
The revolver had some effect, but it was too hard, turning into a blunt weapon. At best, it made him flinch. Even though I shot all the bullets into his forehead. Next up is the anti-materiel rifle. Since he's not human, I don't feel too bad, and since he's aiming for my body, I don't feel much guilt. I'll make him a stepping stone to my greater strength.
"I've got plenty of weapons left. I'm a walking arsenal."
First, a single shot. The demon abandoned his earlier mocking and tried to block with his greatsword. However, the bullet from the anti-materiel rifle knocked the sword away. It didn't hit the demon directly, but it showed that his arms alone couldn't withstand the power. I quickly reloaded a larger bullet using teleportation magic and fired again.
The demon tried to dodge, but the bullet pierced his right shoulder. Black miasma-like substance spilled out. However, it regenerated within seconds. So, he has regeneration. Interesting.
I instructed Mr. Coote to keep running, then activated Phantom Shadow to summon shadows and pulled out weapons from my treasury to start firing. The demon was soon pinned down by the barrage.
"Let's see how powerful my creations are."
The shadows wielded machine guns, assault rifles, Gatling guns, self-propelled cannons, a different type of rocket launcher than the one my Master had, and various handguns. The demon hid behind his greatsword, increasing his defense with enhancement magic, and tried to endure it all. He kept laughing mockingly, probably thinking he understood that while I could hurt him, I couldn't kill him. Little did he know he was being toyed with.
