After the special training session with Master Marlen concluded, it was time to return to the dormitory as dinner approached. I expressed my gratitude to Master Marlen, who took on the role of supervisor.
“Thank you very much!”
“Oh, it’s nothing. I had some free time. It’s impressive that even as new students, you guys can practice so diligently. You were chosen for the special class for a reason.”
Master Marlen, stroking his chin, lowered the corners of his eyes and continued as if remembering something.
“Oh, by the way. You all shouldn’t try to test what you learned today in the courtyard or anywhere in the dormitory, okay? Since your magic manipulation skills are still immature, it could be troublesome if things go haywire. In a flustered manner, Adry-sama urged everyone to hurry, and all of them thanked Master Marlen before rushing back to our respective dormitories. As we reached the point where the special dormitory and the separate dorms for males and females diverged, Adry-sama, who was leading the way, turned around abruptly.
Miss Cristea, Miss Mariel. Sorry it turned into our practice today! But let’s practice together again sometime!”
“Yes, let’s.”
“Y-yes!”
“See you tomorrow then! Sei!”
“Yeah, see you tomorrow.”
Adry-sama smiled brightly, and although Ronnie-sama glanced in this direction, he turned his head away. His gaze, however, kept flickering back here.
“T-today was a meaningful afternoon. Well then, see you… ”
With just those words, he turned forward and headed briskly towards the boys’ dormitory. Adry-sama nudged Ronnie-sama with his elbow, but Ronnie-sama countered with a shoulder bump. How heartwarming.
