A turbulent day (lol).
Okaasama suddenly opened her eyes wide.
I seem to hear Gigigi…… a bloodthirst is oozing out of Okaasama.
Otousama, run away!
She stared at the greedily eating Otousama.
“What is this?”
“Fried potatoes.”
“Fried potatoes? Just what kind of dish is it?”
“Potatoes, apparently.”
Okaasama’s and Otousama’s conversation progressed at quite the speed.
With Otousama’s “apparently” her gaze turned towards me.
“It’s a potato dish made with a new cooking method. The name of the dish is ‘Fried potatoes’, Okaasama.”
My older brothers ate in silence.
I understand, by saying something here, you will be looked by eyes that would judge you as worthless, right? I’m correct, probably.
“You don’t eat potato fruits. The tubers that grow underground are edible, but they contain a poison if their skin has a shade of green, so you can’t eat those ones. The potatoes before you weren’t of bad color nor they had sprouted. Please eat without worries.”
“I will believe you………… the boys have already started eating, so let’s eat too.”
Okaasama’s elegant way of eating is like an example from a book.
However…… I saw it……… I saw her eyes open wide the moment she started chewing!
Thus, Otousama, Okaasama and by older brothers ate silently.
Their hands won’t stop.
Unawares, glasses filled with wine were placed before us.
And I confirmed by the sight that the wine decreased rapidly.
Currently, four people are on their third round…….. it’s just before the dinner, you know! Darn it! I want to drink too!
………… I’m an adult, more or less, but I would look disgraceful if I gulp it down as I please, so I won’t drink.
Even though I was drinking on my own in my past life!
Various things happened today, so I would like to drink……… ah~ ahh………
“Elise, this dish called Fried potatoes is very delicious. It also goes well with wine, would you not consider introducing it to the people of our fief?”
A wonderful suggestion came from the strong drinker Okaasama.
“Potatoes are easy to grow, delicious vegetables. The hunger will surely decrease were we produce and consume them in our fief. Their preparation is also easy and they should be easy to spread too.”
Otousama, Okaasama, and older brothers smiled, making me convinced that the future of the fief will get brighter.
“That’s wonderful, Elise.”
Okaasama’s dazzling smile is dreamy.
“Thank you very much, Okaasama. Today was a turbulent day right from the morning.”
My real feelings escaped on my face (lol).
“Truly.”
Okaasama also laughed while Otousama smiled wryly.
How peaceful.
