Mama held me gently, as if I were something fragile, and carefully cradled me in her arms.

Cough, cough! I spat out the milk again. Papa apologized over and over to both me and Mama, “Sorry, sorry”, and promptly got scolded by Mama again.

“Marle, please take Kai-kun. Change his clothes for him.”
As sleep lured me away and Mama’s voice grew faint in the distance, she handed me to Marle.

“Young Master, now then, let’s go to your room with Marle. We’ll change your clothes and let you rest, alright?”
Back in my room, I let out a “Gehp” of a burp and was praised for doing it well. I was changed into fresh clothes, and then I drifted off to sleep again.
