The Oath of a Knight, and the Passion of Her First Night (with a Touch of Struggle?)
Akio’s “date day” rotation—this time, his partner was Leonora von Weiss, the chief knight of Eldria. Though relieved that Princess Celestina’s turn had ended safely (and serenely), Leonora now faced her own day with a tension that her usual composure could scarcely hide. Yet, behind her stern expression burned a fierce glimmer of resolve.
“Akio-dono, I humbly ask for your guidance today. Wherever you go, I shall follow at your side.”
On the morning of their date, Leonora straightened her back and addressed him as though setting out on a military mission. Her stiffness made Akio chuckle softly.
“Leonora, no need to be so uptight. Today’s just about enjoying ourselves together.”
“Understood!” she answered instantly—but her tone was as rigid as ever.
To ease her, Akio first took her to the square where the village children practiced swordsmanship. At the sight of their progress—especially Alto and Kenta’s—Leonora’s face softened naturally. She offered precise advice, and even took up a wooden sword to demonstrate. The children’s eyes sparkled with admiration, and Leonora shone with the stern yet loving air of a master instructor. Akio found himself smiling at the sight of her liveliness.
In the afternoon, at Akio’s suggestion, they joined Sylvia and Dolgan on a trek into the forest, gathering herbs and rare ores. Leonora’s keen vigilance and physical prowess safeguarded the group. She even noticed threats in the woods before Akio himself did, fully displaying her knightly skill.
“With you here, Leonora, I feel truly secure,” Akio praised.
“This much is only natural for a knight,” she replied—though a faint blush colored her cheeks.
When night fell, the two returned to Leonora’s quarters in the central hall. Her room was plain and orderly, reflecting her nature; on the wall hung a meticulously maintained training sword. Before the bed, Leonora stood stiff and serious, her expression that of a soldier preparing for battle.
“Akio-dono… Tonight, as your wife, I shall fulfill my duty. Leonora von Weiss, knight of Eldria, will give her all to satisfy you—at any cost!”
With that, she began hastily untying her clothing.
“W-wait, Leonora!” Akio hurried to stop her. “You don’t need to treat this like an assignment… And I’d never force you.”
Her large eyes wavered with uncertainty.
“But… I am your fourth wife. Just as Celestina-sama and the others have served you at night, I too must… must carry out that duty.”
Her words revealed both her clumsy honesty and the depth of her devotion. Akio, moved by her sincerity, gently held her shoulders.
“I can feel your love, Leonora. But this isn’t about duty. This is our time as husband and wife, to truly connect. You don’t need to push yourself.”
At his heartfelt words, tears welled in her eyes and spilled over.
“Akio-dono… I—I don’t know what to do…”
“Don’t worry,” Akio smiled softly, wiping her tears. “Just leave it to me.”
He eased her nerves by chatting about lighthearted things—training in her homeland, memories with Princess Celestina, and her life in the village. Bit by bit, her stiffness melted under his warm gaze and gentle tone. By the time the room was lit only by moonlight, Leonora had relaxed entirely, leaning into his arms as if entrusting him with everything.
Setting aside her knightly armor, Leonora faced him simply as a woman. Her awkward yet wholehearted affection stirred Akio deeply. That night, the two came together in passion and sincerity.
When dawn arrived, Leonora awoke in Akio’s embrace, her face aglow with a serene and radiant softness she had never worn before. Passing by, Kina teased with a sly grin:
“Well, well, Leonora—looks like ya and Hubby had quite the night, eh? It’s written all over your face!”
Flustered, Leonora shot back, crimson-cheeked, “Wh-what nonsense are you spouting, you shameless beastwoman!” Yet her retort lacked its usual edge, colored instead with the sweet exhaustion of fulfillment.
As for Akio, his steps that morning were a little heavy, but his expression was bright as day.
(Leonora really does give her all… in everything. Last night was… well, overwhelming, but her earnest love truly reached my heart.)
The straightforward, passionate knight—awkward yet utterly sincere. Their first night together became a memory neither would forget, a turning point that deepened Leonora’s devotion and forever changed the way her love for Akio shone.
