The Protectors of Amethyst and the Hero
Nex’s Point of View
We, the "Protectors of Amethyst," have been caught in a Stampede. We're fine, but the other adventurers were getting exhausted. At this rate, things are looking bad. Jend, our party leader, seemed to think the same, judging by his pained expression.
Just when we couldn't think of a solution, a transmission came through. It was from the communication magic tool Jend carried.
(Forced communication! This is Rosarin! Five Stampede locations confirmed in Wolfanea! Anyone available, please assist with subjugation. Those who can teleport, come to the Adventurers’ Guild in the Capital of Wolfanea. Those who cannot, wait for transport and contact us once you're ready via the communication tool!)
Five locations!? It's happening elsewhere too!? This is bad. Will we even get help?
And then, help arrived from the sky.
(Wahahaahaha!! Wolfanea Mask has arrived!!)
A huge guy… No, wait, it's Jend's dad. Why is he coming from the sky?
*He climbed a tree on purpose and jumped down.*
(Wahahaahaha!!)
Wow. The monsters were flying like paper toys or something. Jend’s dad is insanely strong, as always.
(Wahahaahaha!! Follow meee!!)
For some reason, the exhausted adventurers… were getting their energy back. Jend’s dad really is amazing.
(Oneechan!? You sent my stupid dad, didn’t you! We can handle this on our own!)
Jend was complaining to Oneechan. Thanks to Jend's dad arriving, we have enough breathing room to communicate. But Jend, you shouldn’t lie. It was pretty tough for us alone.
(With Geraldin-san there, you can push straight to the core! I’m counting on you to handle him, Jend and the others!)
(Handling him is the hard part! But, okay, we’ll do it! We’ll charge straight in!!)
(Oh!!)
(Alright, while we’re at it, let’s all power up!!)
Power up… At first, I didn’t understand what Jend’s dad meant, but it soon became clear.
(Nyahahaha! Transform! Wolfanea Girl!)
Mary probably isn’t thinking about anything. But it’s fine—she’s cute.
(Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 2!)
Ordo transformed too. He’s really into it. I know Ordo likes heroes like Wolfanea Mask.
(Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 4!)
Ernst likes heroes too. He also loves those tokusatsu films my sister makes.
The hero suits are strong, so maybe I’ll join in too.
(Transform… Wolfanea Boy No. 5.)
(Ehhhh!? Aren’t you embarrassed!?)
For Jend, his time as Wolfanea Boy, doing charity work, is something of a dark history… But he did good things, so I don’t see the problem.
(Wahahaahaha!! There’s nothing to be ashamed of!)
Yeah. I can’t imagine Jend’s dad ever being embarrassed.
(Otousan, your sense of normal is just off!)
True. He’s not normal. He’s… kind of very odd… or rather, he’s really rough around the edges.
(Mary is fine, nya!)
(Well, Mary is Mary…)
(Nyaa?)
Yeah, Mary is Mary. It can’t be helped. She’s Mary, after all.
(I’m fine too!)
(Ordo, you’re pretty much just like Dad in that way!)
True. Ordo is also very honest with himself, for better or worse. In that sense, he does resemble Jend’s dad.
(I’m not embarrassed either.)
(Ernst, your sense of normal is weird too, okay?? You’re always buried in research, so you’re pretty strange!)
Ernst seems normal, but he sometimes shows a staggering level of ignorance about the world. He’s also bad at picking up on things, and doesn’t understand what most people find embarrassing.
(… I’m fine too.)
I’m not embarrassed about being Wolfanea Boy. It’s a good memory with everyone, and it’s cool. Oneechan made matching, powerful magic gear for all of us.
Well, it’s definitely a waste of her technical skills. Only she would make such special magic gear instead of regular ones.
(Now, Jend! Transform!!)
(Why ‘now,’ though!? That doesn’t make sense!)
(The suit is strong.)
I’m not good at talking, but Jend understands what I mean. Even if he doesn’t like it, the Wolfanea Boy suit is strong.
Thanks to Jend’s dad showing up, we’re able to fight monsters while chatting, but we need to take control of the labyrinth as soon as possible. The longer it takes, the more casualties there will be.
(Ahh, fine! Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 1!!)
After my persuasion and everyone staring at him… Jend gave in.
(Good! Let’s do this!!)
(Wolfanea Boy No. 1!!)
*Now in full desperation mode.*
(Wolfanea Boy No. 2!)
(Wolfanea Boy No. 4!)
(Wolfanea Boy No. 5.)
(Wolfanea Girl!)
(Wolfanea Mask!)
(Victory is ours! Wolfanea Squad – Rosarinjas!!)
We lined up, sliding our upper bodies in a circular motion. By staggering slightly, everyone’s face… or rather, their masks, should be visible. And the order of our fingers points to our lineup.
(Uwoooohh!!)
(That’s kinda cool!!)
(Is there no No. 3?)
The adventurers, full of enthusiasm, cheered. No. 3 is Kou, so he’s not here today. By the way, Pochi is No. 6.
Wait, wasn’t there someone else…? Oh well, never mind.
Anyway, let’s keep fighting and take down as many monsters as we can!
